The boy had waited long enough to spend some time with Charm! He wiggled out of his sleeping place and took in a deep breath. The autumn air was so crisp and cool… and the snow on the ground, caused by the colder temperatures in the North, was almost welcoming. The young boy shuffled about as he looked back at the den, then around to see if he could spy any of his little butterfly friends. But since the weather started to get colder he hadn’t seen any… it was like when his father had passed they all went with him. But Enlil was going to do his best to keep pressing on. His papa would want them to carry on and not be sad, right? Tilting his head back he let out a little howl, hoping that his sister was close by and would come to hang out.

TAKE LIFE BY THE HORNS

Even after talking with her mom some days it was hard to drag herself from her den. She did though, Charm wanted to get better - she wanted the sadness to go away. So she would at least show some effort as the fluffy little thing made her way across the snow. Winter was coming, and in the most interesting way it meant a milestone in her life. She'd be a year old, but she felt so far away from actually being an adult. As her paw squished and crunched in the snow she stopped in front of where her brother called her.

He wasn't as big as okami but he was still bigger than her. So she smiled, and ran forward. Trying to tumble down into him. She aimed for his stomach to the side. Maybe a bit of play would make her feel better, at first at least.

The boy gave a startled cry as his sister tumbled into him, soon spilling into laughter from his maw. He had stumbled, nearly tripping over his own paws, but then found his footing and turned to look at his smaller sister with a large smile on his face. He had noticed that Charm hadn’t been around as much, and he worried a bit for her. With a playful swipe of his paws Enlil gave a soft whine, his gaze sweeping over his sibling happily.

“Charm!” Enlil barked happily. His ears twitched a little and his tail began to wag slowly back and forth. “It’s been too long since we’ve last had fun together. Come on an adventure with me, we can play as explorers!” The young boy dropped down to his forepaws, wiggling his rump in the air. Charm had always been the sibling he had a soft spot for. They needed to spend more time together too… all of them did!
