And if I had the answers I'd have written them out
So I can tell you what to do and what this thing is about
But all I've ever learned comes second-hand
And I dare not preach what I don't understand

The female had decided to return to the woods with the feeling that the idea was not one her mother and brother would necessarily have themselves. Though there were good memories here there was also the reminder of the fall of Dragoste… the last place her father had been seen alive…

Philomena’s paws lead her deeper into the lands. The scents here were stale… but they bore both the scents of her former pack and those of the Abraxi. She paused, ears flicking as she recalled Amon’s words to her before she left the Risen Empire. To tell the truth of what had happened… Philomena’s claws bit into the Earth. Someday she’d cross the path of the Abraxas wolves once more… and when she did… she’d be ready. She wouldn’t fall as her father had… but she knew that she wouldn’t simply follow them.

Philomena knew her mother and brother wouldn’t approve of her fighting though… so what was there to do? They couldn’t just keep running… Her ears flicked back, her blue gaze narrowing. “Dammit… what choice do I have? I’m not just going to bow down to them…” ...and she’d be damned if she let her brother or mother do the same. No… she’d protect them. She had to… somehow…

Maybe… maybe it was time to start planning. Not necessarily in creating a full blown pack… but maybe she could gather some followers to resist the Empire. The Resistance… yeah, that had a ring to it.

Philomena straightened up and threw back her head to howl for those who might be close by. It was a powerful howl… the howl of a leader. Let those who hear her come and investigate. She wanted the brave and bold… those who were ready to fight for what they believed. Those who would fight for the freedoms all should have....

...but who was going to stand and fight?

Did anyone have that courage anymore?

You and I; we share the same disease
Cover up; compromise what we grieve
I've let more than my share of revivals die
This isn't pretty but it's what I am tonight

This was an interesting place, not somewhere she'd been before. It was the exact opposite of the cold, barren land she'd been born in. This place was bright and green, brimming with life and warmth. She splashed carelessly through the streams, eyes seeking out the plant life that grew near the bases of the willows. There was great variety here, and she was really starting to enjoy her find. Why hadn't she been here sooner?

Vyper was wrapped lightly around Saffron's neck, his head on top of hers as his tongue flickered, taking in all of the new scents from the woods they'd entered. It was warm, and the air had a humidity to it that pleased the snake. Saffron could tell that her companion was enjoying himself, by the way he held still, not fussing or hissing like he did when displeased. Good, they could finally agree upon a good place to explore and maybe stay a night or two.

She paused suddenly when a howl rang out. It was not directed to anyone in particular, but the howl was powerful, commanding in a way, and seemed to beckon an audience. Fascinating. She was curious what this was all about, and so she rounded a bend and followed the direction of the howl, until she found herself in the presence of a dire-sized she-wolf. Saffron paused, tilting her head as she looked at the woman. So, this was who had called? She looked so young, Saffron was surprised. Shrugging, she wasn't about to make any judgments based off the girl's youth and appearance.

"If it's an audience you seek, you've got my attention," the woman spoke smoothly, her silver eyes running over the frame of the younger female, "Just what is your intention?" Gray ears pressed forward, interested, yet calm and collected as she waited to hear what the girl would say to her.
