Brrr! A shiver ravaged the oversized male's body as he stood at the northernmost point of the continent, having never traveled so far before. Even with his thick coat and bulky build, he couldn't help but feel a bit cold even here, overlooking the ocean; the bitter winds whipped and pulled at his fur, making his eyes briefly water as they looked out across the horizon. Kai couldn't help but wonder how far the ocean stretched on for - he couldn't see a damn thing in the distance other than water, water, and.. well.. more water. His nose wrinkled as he finally turned from the ocean and moved to face the other and more prominent oddity this land possessed.
A sharp spiral of ice shot up straight into the sky ahead of him, taller than even some of the vast redwood trees he had encountered. It was seemingly without purpose, yet he knew this was a powerful sort of place. Another siedi, if he had to guess, and he couldn't help but wish he had some sort of sacrifice to leave here. Just as last time, he had nothing to offer, and it was difficult to imagine finding much worth sacrificing so far north. Still, Kai was curious, and it wouldn't stop him from moving toward the structure as his gaze lifted and reached toward the sky, following the sharp column of ice to the heavens.

If you wish, I was thinking we both could earn 10 points at Navigation by "Gave or received a lesson in astronomy, weather, or difficult terrain". Kai could teach her about the clouds and how they can predict the weather such as storms and rain?
Warning: this is a mature themed character. She has a 20" caracal by the name of Alphonse. It shall be presumed that he is with her all the time unless stated otherwise.Ithuriels, Hannibal and her pups are allowed to crash her threads regardless of the tag!

Kai's own travels were far from planned - he was more apt to travel simply on a whim, going wherever his paws carried him with little rhyme or reason. His only criteria, as of late, was to enjoy the more harsh climate of the north for as long as possible. So far he had gotten the most enjoyment out of the northernmost terrain, and he fully intended on continuing his adventuring. Especially in lands that were anything like this one. His jaw unhinged just slightly as he began to fully grasp just how tall the pillar of ice reached, branching off and leaning precariously toward the sea, as if reaching toward the frigid depths.
Only the faint sound of something (or someone?) nearby caught his attention, his gaze dropping from the skies down to the earth once again. The figure of a stranger was visible in the distance, at the base of the thick pillar of ice, and he narrowed his eyes as he tried to get a better look at the wolf. He almost thought she looked a bit surprised as she pulled away from the structure. Curious, he padded over to the stranger, careful to watch his footing on the slick icy terrain. "Did it jump out at you?" Kai quipped, beaming widely as his own words as he approached her. His eyes roved over her coat, nose twitching as he tested her scent and tried to implant it into his memory. Only when he drew closer did he realize he'd met her before, at the strange frozen-in ship, and his grin grew a bit wider. "So we meet again!"

His attention shifted briefly from the tall pillar of gleaming ice to the female, intrigued by her. It seems fate had decided to bring them together once again, and even if it was for no apparent reason, it made him want to speak to her that much longer. At least to get to know her briefly, at the least. He grinned as she rubbed her nose from the collision, letting out a soft laugh of delight. "You remember me!" He said, delighted as she turned to face him and the more vacant look she'd worn before was replaced with warm familiarity."
Her comment might his smile brighten. "Did you ever think maybe I don't want to get away from you? Hmmm?" Kai jested playfully, and maybe a touch flirtatiously, though he shrugged a moment later. Staying on one subject had never really been something he was very good at.. and this interaction was no exception to that trule "At least this time we don't have a weirdo pretending to be some kind of evil demon this time, eh?" It was definitely nicer this time; he didn't have the patience for such things; the talk of devils and other nonsensical things wasn't anything Kai was all that interested in.
His gaze shifted back to the pillar of ice before them. "Out of nowhere, you say?" He let out another soft chortle of laughter, rounding the side of the pillar and prodding at it gently with his nose. From here it seemed so much smaller, but a few steps back reminded him of how massive the structure was. "This thing is beautiful, though strange," he added, eyeing her curiously.

Her words brought a wry smile to his lips. "Ah, yes, a ghost hunter indeed!" Kai responded with another low chuckle, amused at the recollection. "I'm not terribly disappointed that our other friend hasn't shown up again. Bit of a weird one, she was," he commented, mostly teasing - while he wasn't what he'd consider an ordinary wolf, and this Nephthys seemed unique in her own right, but the one that had been trying to spook them away from the ship seemed odd in a totally different and disconcerting way. Nah, he was alright with that one.
Her flirtatious demeanor made him laugh again with amusement. "Finest, eh? Prove it, then!" Kai quipped, not completely sure what she was implying but willing to probe at the meaning behind her words nonetheless. But his attention was torn away by her insistence that the pillar of ice had, in fact, just jumped out at her. His silver eyes were alight with laughter as he nodded, as though agreeing without really believing her words at all. "Wonder if this thing ever melts at all. Or if it just keeps growing?" Kai peered up at the tall pillar again, curious. It seemed cold enough here that any of it melting seemed unlikely, but he'd never been here - so who knew?
