Well, here was a strange place, indeed. But it was fascinating all the same, and Esarosa was feeling inclined to explore it. She was surprised she'd never found this place before, since it wasn't far from home. Or, well.... what used to be home. Even with Argead disbanded, she would still consider the valley home. It just felt so familiar to her, she could never consider it anything other than home. For now, she was drawn to explore a bit, and so she found herself descending into this dark, underground place. Strangely, there was some plant life down here, making it almost seem like there was fresh air down here. There was even small prey to be found. It seemed wide open, despite the walls surrounding her.

However, as she slowly made her way further into the wide underground cavern, it grew darker, and the cavern narrowed to a tunnel. Where it went, she wasn't sure, but something drew her to find out. She couldn't be the only one who was interested in such a place - surely someone else had been this way before? Perhaps someone was already down here. Whatever was the case, Esarosa was determined to find out, if only to distract herself from everything else.

Quiet. There was only the sound of his soft breathes filling the air and the light patter of water droplets letting go of the roof that lay above his ebony head. It was a safe haven, as far as he knew it had been for his eyes only, but the midnight wolf hadn't been there long enough to know who had and who hadn't been down into the underground caverns. At least that's what they looked like. He had been wandering around the area, if he even had a single thought of staying around then he would have to know exactly where he would be taking of home for a while. The wolf made from the night wasn't at all surprised by the fact that his large body had been drawn down into the darkness of the caves, after all, it was where he felt more comfortable. That and the forests where the trees would hide his dark furred body. The caverns had seemed like a good place to go and rest, seeing as no one else was down there, that he knew of, the male needed a rest. Although he had grown used to wandering the Earth since he was but a small pup, the young adult was tired. Not physically, but emotionally, never settling down and staying in one place had put a strain upon him, he was used to it, yes, but that doesn't mean he liked it.

He had been curled up, tail wrapped around his battle-built body and head tucked in, near the walls. Obscured by the cave's shadows. Only lighting his body by the tan swirls that ran along his spine and down his sides. He hadn't fallen asleep though, he was far too awake to have drifted off, and so the sound of paw-steps were easily caught onto. Ears flicking with the noise as they grew closer. He would write it off for just some lost critter, hoping he would remain alone.

As she slowly trekked further into the deep underground, she caught scent of another wolf. She paused in mid-step, taking another whiff just to make sure. Yep, someone else was down here. She smirked, and her tail began to wave. So, someone else had indeed taken an interest in this place. It had been a while since she'd explored a new place, and met someone she'd never seen before. Now she would make it her mission to find out who it was, and what they were like. She didn't expect that they lived down here, but perhaps they'd spent some time here. Or maybe whoever it was, was lost. In that case, she'd definitely have to find them and lend a paw.

As she trailed along and the growth became more sparse, she caught onto paw steps left in the soft soil. Now she had a direct path to follow, which she did. She wondered who was at the end of this trail; as always, she hoped it wasn't someone violent, but as always, her curiosity outweighed such a worry. So she pressed on until the scent became more concentrated, and she knew the individual was not far. In fact, she might be able to call out to them. "Hello!?" her voice carried out into the darkness, "Anybody home?" She'd chuckle to herself and pause in step, falling silent as she perked her ears in hopes of hearing something in response.
