The dark woman was once again away from her sibling. This time she was more confident in leaving him alone for a little while. She'd disappeared to go hunt something and then that had turned into something else after she'd managed to catch an unwary fox for breakfast. She'd traveled farther and farther and before she knew it she'd found herself in a dark forest surrounded by mist a mysteries. She wandered in without thinking and before she knew it the fog shrouded around her like a cloak. She couldn't see very far in front of her so the going was pretty slow. She worked her way over gnarled tree trunks, past various shrubbery, and the other things that were making navigation difficult. It was a nice challenge and she enjoyed the reason to stretch her legs. The silence was almost deafening in her ears, and yet she was pleased with her solitude. She'd never been fond of company, other than Elias of course, and today was no exception. It was nice to not have a pack to worry about (even if she did worry about them from time to time) and the only one she had to look out for was Elias and herself. Who knew the life of a loner could be so relaxed and care free? Of course food and water were other matters that made life hard, but those were always things to worry about. She and her brother managed all the same and she couldn't complain.

there were no cracks to grasp or gaps to claw

The soulless forest was oddly more quiet than he remembered. Having passed through it before as the emotionless man stalked on. He definitely wouldn't want his pack residing here, during his time as a loner he had to scout out the things they needed. After he would return to his family and plan. It would be well into winter until they did this. Timing was everything, but he let that fade once he spotted someone about to cross his path.

Green luminous eyes would bring out the rest of his coat. This girl was covered in scars, not that it bothered him. They told stories in which words could not. However with the aura in the air, he felt a need to approach her. Keeping a fair distance so she was comfortable. "What's someone like you doing alone here?" it wasn't meant as an insult. He knew females had teeth just as he had. It made no difference to him to worry about such a beautiful things well being.

Treat

Eliana gets a treat!

The near silence of the gloomy forest is broken by the sudden, lovely sound of a bird's song. It lifts the mood of the dreary place just slightly, distracting the wolves from the dark atmosphere, even if just momentarily. Eliana gains 16 gems!

Her thoughts were broken by a voice and she jumped slightly. her hackles immediately raised and her lip raised in a silent snarl that warned the male to keep his distance. By the time she'd already given her silent threat though she realized he'd already stopped a respectful distance away from her. She scowled darkly at his words. "Whatever I damn well please." was written clearly over her face. It was strange to be on her own, but she had confidence that most things would leave her alone. Yet here someone was, strolling right up to her, and instigating a conversation. It was strange to say the least. Bird song suddenly erupted into the air and she lifted her head towards the trees where the noise was coming from. The dreariness of the place didn't bother her so much and the silence allowed her to hear easily. The bird made the eerie silence seem less foreboding though and she glanced towards the trees' foliage once more before snapping her head back to the male. His pelt was like nothing she'd ever seen before. Creams mostly with weird spots. She was familiar with dark pelts and red eyes and yet here was something so uncommon. He was the same height as her, medium build, and overall she couldn't tell if she found him impressive or not. Rather than standing around studying him, she raised an eyebrow as if to say "What do you want?"
