It had been too long since Carletta last spent time alone with Leo. She’d been trying to get out and about within the pack, even attending a fight training {though the Gods only knew why she attempted such a thing…}. The female could feel herself slowly changing as a member of this pack. The female wasn’t sure she’d ever really become much of a fighter… it was against her nature. But she could at least try a little more for the sake of Leo since he’d been kind enough to take her in. The female paused, wondering if he’d been practicing the bit of Spanish she’d taught him. It was mainly words and a couple phrases, but she was sure he’d catch on. The female was practically wiggling upon the snow as she raised her head and howled for Leo. Hopefully he’d have the time to spend a little bit with her considering the season… but if not she’d find something else to do with herself. "Talk" "You" Think

Winter was certainly a busy time since he had to make sure everyone was getting enough to eat and wasn't getting sick, but Jackson had been helping so much with the hunting and it seemed like they were lucky enough to escape any real illnesses so far so it had been a fairly easy winter so far. When he heard Carletta's call he was just finishing up a patrol so it was perfect time for him to go see her. He smiled at the thought of getting to spend more time with the gray, spotted woman. He hadn't gotten to spend a whole lot of time with her recently, but when he did happen to see her she made him smile. He trotted toward where she had called from, heading toward her once he spotted her with his tail wagging gently behind him. "Hello!" he called cheerfully, pausing thoughtfully as he stopped in front of her. "Or... What was it... Hola, right?" He had done his best to remember what little Spanish he had learned from her, but he was sure some of it had escaped him. He wished he could just know her language right away so that they could speak more easily, but he hadn't had the time to sit down with her every day and practice. Her spirit lifted the moment Leo came into view. Carletta gave an approving nod as he greeted her, feeling a bit of pride when he even used Spanish to speak. She’d taught him a little bit and she was very happy that he was willing to learn. It would definitely make conversing easier, though she felt a bit bad that he didn’t know the language as fluidly as she did. But Leo was learning fast in her book, and she felt confident that one day they’d be able to have a full conversation in her native tongue. She was willing to wait for that day. Leo was worth the wait. “Yes… Hola.” Her tail was wagging back and forth eagerly as she cocked her head to the side, giving a small, happy whine. “How you? Busy yes… but… also…?” She trailed off, finding trouble with her English once more. What word was she looking for? He was obviously busy as an alpha, but was he enjoying himself? Was he having fun? He couldn't lie, he was pretty proud that he had remembered "hola" correctly. He knew it was only one word of a whole complex language, but he had never tried to learn another language before so little signs that he was catching on made him happy. His tail wagged gently behind him, genuinely happy to see her. There was just something about being around Carletta that just made him smile. His head tipped to the side slightly as she tried to ask him something, taking a moment to decipher what she meant. He smiled and nodded after a moment, replying, "I've been fine. I have been really busy." He sighed softly, but still kept a small smile on his lips even when his expression grew a bit sad and tired. "I keep hoping life would slow down a bit so I could do more fun things and get to spend more time with my kids and with you, but it hasn't happened yet." He shrugged a bit as if to say 'but what can you do?' since there was nothing he could really do to change it for the time being. "How are you? Have you been okay?" he asked, focusing his attention back on her for the moment so he wouldn't start dwelling on how tired he had been lately. He certainly didn't want to start getting all sad or sentimental and ruin what little one on one time he had with Carletta. "Talk" "You" Think

He’d been fine, which Carletta was glad about. But… he looked tired. Concern shown in her eyes as she picked up on different words here and there as he spoke them, trying her best to keep up with his common tongue. She’d been learning a bit more since being in the pack, her new home, but she was also missing her sister a lot. How the two could have conversations in Spanish together and just relax… she missed the pups too. Sure they weren’t hers, but that didn’t mean Carletta didn’t love them all the same. The talk also reminded her just how thankful she was to have met Leo. She had picked up on the fact he wanted to spend more time with her too, as well as his kids, and that caused a little flutter in her heart. The femme had come to realize she’d developed a little crush on Leo. Enough to think he was pretty and kind, but not go much further with it yet. She enjoyed his company and wanted to get to know him better… he was the whole reason she remained in Fiori, even away from her sister. He was a fascinating individual… and those in the pack had been kind… she wanted to stay here forever. “Missing..” She replied honestly, her ears lowering a little. “Phoenix… Ashe… Amaia… hope they fine.” She shook her head, her smile coming back, even if it wasn’t as full as before. “Happy too!” She said, taking a step towards him. It was there that her heart gave another flutter, and the she wolf’s blue eyes shown with a sense of delight. “Spend time with Leo… now? For bit?” She stumbled a little over her words, but she hoped the meaning got across just fine. She wanted to spend some time with Leo now, if he was free.
