She's wild. Today, she is wild. Fortune moves easily across the ground, head high, movement metered. Everything is metered, everything is effortless when she does it. Summer had com easily, strung from the trees, hanging in the breezes. Oh how wonderful it was. How grand everything was, the smell of summer, the sounds, everything washing over in absolute waves. She was so immensely happy, if only for the return of the prey.

Lush and green was her valley, moving easily on the trail of what could only be deer. It was something that she could have picked out anywhere. The brave has no problem with tracking on her own, but... oh, she had to do it. A short howl, inviting those around her, those of her family to join her. It's a beautiful early summer day, deer on the land, living it and loving it.

Who would come to run with her?

Faite Ethereal Adravendi

Faite was more than excited - summer had come at least the the little fawns that had been birthed in the spring were growing strong. Both the prairie and the valley had plenty of prey and it meant that the pack would hopefully eat well for at least another season. The spring had been very relaxed since she'd allowed her members the time to get acclimated to their new home. Zuriel had birthed her pups and her own were growing like weeds - everything was certainly wonderful for her.

She'd recently returned from visiting Karabela and had ideas in mind for activities. She was sure a pack meeting was in order soon, but a howl rang across the lands throwing her mind from the thought. Figuring out when to hold a meeting would come later, for now it seemed as though her cousin had ideas for a hunt. Her own stomach felt rather empty and she was sure a larger meal would be appreciated by many. So the russet and silver wolf raced towards Fortune with a grin on her face and didn't skid to a halt until she was barely a few feet away.

"Glad to see you taking initiative, but then again you always have." She greeted with a chuckle. Fortune sure was good at getting things done. Rather than wait around for others to show up Faite let out a loud summoning howl for the pack. She wasn't making it mandatory, but a couple extra wolves certainly would come in handy.

The mangled wolf bounded across the land when he heard the call. That meant there was going to be a group hunt wasn't there? He knew he really couldn't have called something like that. Well rather he probably didn't know he could, not that anyone would listen to Ritsy. Bouncing on his paws he stopped when he saw Faite. His stump of a tail giving a happy wag as he came up to her side and let out a shrill noise of excitement. Then turned his red eyes to the caller - a beautiful young lady that he sat down and stared at with his red eyes.

"Ritsy is here for duty~!" He exclaimed - half introducing himself as well as announcing that he was here to hunt. This was what he promised Faite he'd be doing right? Might as well do as he was told - as his head tilted to one side he smiled and let his tongue hang out of one side of his mouth. Lirim was exciting already.

He hadn't really done much since joining, and for that he felt bad. Time and time again he kept telling himself to get up and go make it up to Faite for giving him a life. A purpose. But each time the nightmares plagued him and the voices kept telling him that he would never be good enough. That nothing he did would ever be good enough. But when he heard the call for a pack hunt, he refused to not attend. He struggled, yes. But he made it. The long-legged hunter hesitantly strolled towards the small group, a faint smile cast towards Faite. Why was he still struggling so much? He should be happy, shouldn't he? He had a home now. He wasn't alone. Faite was his family...but still, there were just a lot missing still from his life, he felt like. No matter, he couldn't think about that now. He sat among the group, waiting and wondering who the woman was that seemed to have made the call. She was pretty, he had to admit. Relative of Faite's perhaps?

As Faite appears, Fortune moves to meet her cousin. She moves with a bounce in her step, pouncing toward the woman, tail wagging. Playful, as she rarely is with others. It's a shade that doesn't show often, but she doesn't really mind. Comfortable with her family, comfortable with the woman that's basically her sister. "The deer are returning, the bucks haven't sharpened their horns yet. It's safe to cull one right now." She's grinning wildly, tossing her head, shoulder checking and playing.

As Ritsy appears, Fortune carefully retains her neutrality, bringing herself back down from the goofy playfulness that came with Faite's appearance. The brave still found him a loose canon, mad as a hare in march. She would deal with it-- had to trust him just as her sister did. "Yes, come along."

A rakish grin crosses her face as the other man appears, watching him for an extra long moment. He must be the cousin Faite was talking about earlier, the resemblance was... there... somewhere? Maybe in the nose? Being cousins was strange. Fortune realizes though, that he doesn't have any look of the Adravendi lines. Must be the other side, the side far away from her own. That was comforting, but Fortune keeps herself from holding his gaze for too long. "You're Rin, right?" Her head cants slightly to the side, watching. Right. Don't look too long. "I'm Fortune."

She turns to the group, watching carefully. "The herds are back, there are deer moving through the southern part of the territory. On the bucks, the horns aren't too sharp yet, we should be able to take one down." Fortune looks first to Faite, if she has anything to add. Everyone else after, for questions. She's in her element, eyes glimmering as she waits.

Faite Ethereal Adravendi

Faite grinned eagerly as her greeted her in a playful manner. Ears flicked as she mentioned that the deer were returning which was a good sign. There would be plenty for them to eat here in both the valley and the plains. Both would be prime hunting spots for them until winter rolled around once more. Assuming any more showed up she imagined they could take down with ease.

Ritsy arrived next with his usual excited, yet strange, manner as he plopped next to her with a shriek. She smiled at him and had to hold back the snort as Fortune addressed him like a mother would address their unruly pup. She could see the distaste Fortune had for him, but it was kept in check so there wasn't much she could say against it. She knew Ritsy wasn't exactly favored by all, but there was an amount of acceptance at least so that's all Faite could ask for. They didn't have to like him so long as they respected he was a part of the family.

Rin was the last to arrive and she offered her cousin a friendly tail wag. She hadn't seen much of him lately but she was glad he'd decided to come help out. It meant all her hunters were here now which was a relief. They'd had problems in Celestial with never having enough hunters - it seemed that, so far, she wouldn't be having the issue. She glanced around to see if more would show up, but she didn't expect much from Zell. He'd most likely be baby sitting since this wasn't really a hunt the kids were old enough to participate in yet.

Her attention turned back to Fortune as she addressed the rest of them. Faite was content to sit back and let her lead the hunt since she'd called them all together. So she nodded when Fortune looked to her to see if she had anything else to add. "A buck sounds good. We'll just need a way to separate it from the rest, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem."

Another wolf showed up and then Ritsy got on his best behavior. His mouth shut itself and his eyes focused on Fortune. He didn't know of the distaste of others half the time. His mind was in a world of its own. Even if his mange did one day get cured it was certain the male would always be an oddball. Though it was obvious how much he depended on Faite. He stuck close to her, like a nervous child who didn't want to leave their guardian's sight. However when it came to hunting he knew exactly what to do. "Just tell Ritsy his job and he shall do it." he generally was very fast a lot of other wolves used him to separate the animal from the herd.

He could also defend others from the antlers or dangerous things. Snapping at legs, antagonizing, Ritsy was most definitely good at that. His eyes flashed for a moment. He also really enjoyed killing in general - it just was no longer towards his own kind. Drawing blood from prey was the only thing he would have to suffice from that was for certain.

He is greeted. Or rather, somewhat questioned when the woman takes notice of him. "You're Rin, right?" He is surprised that she knew his name, and it showed on his face as he slowly nodded. "Erm, yeah. N-nice to meet you." His words were nervous, a quick glance finding Faite for but a moment as the woman tells him her name. Fortune... It was a nice name. A pretty name. Who was she exactly in relation to Faite? Was he cousins with her too? Part of him hoped not...suddenly feeling flushed, he tore his gaze away to stare at his paws.

He listened as she talked about the bucks, and then Faite put in her piece. He looked up, nervousness not so subtle. Why was he so nervous? He blamed the fact that he had never hunted in a group before. What if he screwed up and lost the prey? Then they'd all be mad at him, wouldn't they? He bit his tongue for a moment, but decided it would be better to try if not at all...what did he have to lose? "Uh, I can um...try to cut it away. I blend with most of my surroundings, it shouldn't be a problem." He hoped not, anyway.

There's a stately respect that hangs in the air between Fortune and Faite. Cousins, sure, but sisters. Sisters in heart. They stand easily together, able to command the attention of a group, big or small. Faite, of course, was better with people. Fortune was better with strategy, with hard facts, with concrete behavior. Prey animals were easy, they had their mentality and limited intelligence. Dealing with others? That was so much harder. As if to cement her sentiment, Ritsy flits off. Fortune sighs lightly, turning back to Faite and Rin.

She tries not to let her eyes rest on the man for too long, tries not to be wrapped up in him. Strange, sure, but... hm. A weird feeling, maybe. The brave isn't going to give that much heed right now. There was no reason for her to. There was business at hand. He speaks, and the wolfish grin that's fairly typical falls over her face, crashes over her body. It's charming. She has her father's charm. "Sounds good to me."

Her eyes flit to Faite's face, grin not wavering. "I can act as a second barrier so he doesn't get too far away from us, and then you want to ambush him from the front? Shouldn't be too hard, I wouldn't say any of us are small." Her tail wags, head high. There's something springy in her, something bright. Fortune is more than happy to take them along on her grand adventure. They would take a buck and they would eat like kings. Her tail wags, eyes bright. "Ready?"

If there were no objections, Fortune would lead them on to where the herds had taken their respite, sighting out an older buck and nodding to Rin. They were ready.

Faite Ethereal Adravendi

Faite watched the interaction between Rin and Fortune curiously before finding Rin's hesitant gaze. She flashed him an encouraging smile before her attention flashed to the misshapen form of Ritsy disappearing. her head cocked to the side as she watched him leave, but she refrained from commenting. Perhaps she could look for him later? She wouldn't pretend to understand the strange male so if he'd left ... well she'd just let it go for now. She wouldn't let it ruin their hunt.

He attention focused back on Rin as he offered himself up to help cut away a suitable target away from the herd. That was good - his dark pelt would hopefully be enough camouflage to keep the prey from noticing him until he got right up on them. Fortune suggestion as a second defense was good which left her with the job of lying in wait to ambush the creature and surprise it from the front. It wasn't as good as closing in on it from four sides, but she was sure they could make do with who they had so long as they were careful.

"Lead the way." She said, rising to her feet as she looked expectantly at Fortune. She had called them all together so she'd be the one to lead the hunt all the way through.
