Well this was... unfortunate. How she'd forgotten about her heat season was beyond her, but now it was here - she a year older, now 6, and her heat raging just as hard as it did for every other season that she's lived since reaching adulthood. It sucked. Just as much as it did when she turned 2. If not more so, actually...

She shook those thoughts from her head, instead going and sniffing around to see who - or what - she could find. After all, she'd promised Storm at the meeting that she could help with the little handfuls, so maybe she could find one of them. She hadn't seen them since the meeting, not really, and before that had been their birth. That ought to change, now.

It was finally cooling off marking the end to Corentine's first summer and she was glad about it. With most of her coat being black the summer sun was hot and made the pup uncomfortable. So she fallowed her mother in staying to the shade and staying near the cool water sources. Now that it was cooler the girl could go back to exploring the pack lands and finding cool new things to learn about. Most importantly to get to know more pack members. She had already met Bass and a few weeks ago met a new pack member named Brandr. Today she was back to running through the grasses, looking for something interesting. She had passed several small creatures already, ones she had already seen before. She was on the lookout for something new, something she hadn't seen before. That was when her eyes fell on a large doe and her spring fawn off in the distance. Her tail wagged, but she flopped back onto her rump not approaching the two much larger creatures. Her gold eyes watched them curiously wondering what they were doing. "Talk" & 'Think"

Well, okay, that was fast. It didn't take long at all to spot the pup bounding through the grass, nor did it take much effort to see what had drawn the young one's attention once she had stopped. Vali's eyes spotted the doe and fawn, and a deep inhale told her that she really ought to have noticed the pair much, much sooner. Ah, well, she'd been preoccupied and focused on a handful of scents instead; that's what she told herself, anyway.

Quietly, she approached the pup. She wasn't really trying to hide her approach, but at the same time... pups could be oblivious, and Vali was rather wondering how situationally aware this pup was once her attention was already focused. A ghost of a smile touched her lips as she stepped even closer, amusement sparking in her eyes.

The first thing the child had learned from the different prey creatures was to be aware of your surroundings. For her young age her senses were not as strong as they would be as an adult, but she was always trying to pay attention to her surroundings. Though her eyes were focused on the deer and the wind blew against her face, the girls ears moved around on her head. She at first didn't hear anything, but then she heard the approach of something from behind. She swung her head around, her gold eyes searching the territory behind her until they landed on a white form. She recognized her as one of the wolves who sat close to her mother at the meeting. She grinned before casually walking away from the deer, her attention now turned on the white women. Corentine knew she could scare the deer off, but she was too small to even attempt to hunt them anyway. Once closer her tail began to wiggle behind her in a happy greeting. She loved to meet others and she didn't really get to know the older women at the meeting. She didn't even know that this women gave her mother support through her birth and was there when she was born. Right now all she knew was that she was a pack member, the girl couldn't even remember her name from the meeting. "Hi!" she greeted when she was close enough. "Talk" & 'Think"
