Artemis, lost in the brutality of winter, had found herself mostly alone. With Crew disbanded, there was nothing to guide her, and not much she found herself particularly moved by aside from the seasons and migrations of prey. As she aged, the astral fae was finding herself less keen on company anyways, and more appreciative of her time spent alone. In her mind she had found her polish as a clean cut gemstone, as opposed to a rough stone. A gemstone who's edges were sharp enough to cut, but a gemstone nonetheless. Artemis walked lightly among the trees, gait graceful and light despite her size. There was a scent here that was familiar to her, one she had been seeking for some time. Her damn sister, who she didn't seem able to keep tabs on no matter how hard she tried, must surely be somewhere near by...

In true Iskra form, she'd not held still a moment in the time she'd spent wandering. While she loved her sibling dearly, and spent time aplenty thinking of the other starry woman, there was so so much to do. Places to see, explore, fun to be had. Ah, but the loneliness did overtake most everyone at some point, and Iskra was no exception. Time spent alone was tolerable, but rarely specifically sought out.

To remedy this, she was now harassing a small badger. One might even say she was badgering him a bit too much! Hah. Iskra giggled at her own joke, volume increasing as she'd already been chuckling as she'd leap side to side and swatted at the smaller animal. It wasn't all that old, so her paws were at slightly less risk than they'd have been if she'd decided to tangle with an adult. Whether it was consistent boredom or the blood that ran hot in her veins, something had the young woman itching to get into any kind of trouble she could get her paws on.

Distant thumping of paws on the earth alerted her to the approach of... Oh, no way! Waddya know. Art was pretty good at hunting her ass down. Isk would have trotted off to greet her sibling with as charming a smile as she could muster, but she kiiind of had her paws full at the moment with this really dumb game she was playing. Ah well, Artemis would find her soon enough. Meanwhile, Iskra had to leap hard to the right to avoid getting her legs clawed at. Close one.

Artemis followed Iskra's trail as best as she could, despite the ruby-hued woman's meanderings. In the end, it was the sound of muffled struggle which led her to where her sister hid. Much to Artemis' distaste, though not to her surprise, Iskra wasn't alone. Art came upon the scene, paused, and sighed. Living up to the name of a true Aeris woman, her sister had apparently decided to taunt a young badger. It was unclear who exactly was winning. Iskra narrowly dodged a snap at her forepaw, and Art debated a moment on whether or not she ought to distract her. "I can't pretend to be surprised, finding you like this," she said in a dry, amused tone. Dumbass, she thought to herself.

Artemis debated jumping into the fray, but decided a moment later that it would be much more fun to sit and observe for a moment. After all, Iskra had gotten herself into this situation and Artemis knew she would be able to get herself out, one way or another. Whether she would be unscathed or not was another matter entirely. "I'll have you know I'm rooting for the badger," Artemis quipped with a small grin pulling at the corner of her mouth. Waiting to see whether it would evoke laughter or indignation was a joy all in it's own, and she was content to find as much joy in uncovering her sister again as she could. This was what Iskra got for making her search to the hells and back to find her.

"I can't pretend to be surprised, finding you like this," her sister said in a dry tone. Bouncing to the right again to dodge some snapping jaws, Iskra could only grin at first lest she lose her highly important concentration.

Maybe if she wasn't busy right now she'd have returned Artemis' reaction the first time they reunited and went charging over to the taller woman to smother her in affection. As it was, she was a pinch on the preoccupied side of things right now and opted instead to give a soft chuckle as she darted forward and managed to smack the badger's back in a daring move which was quickly followed by a backwards leap to avoid the retaliation of the small, angry beast. She was playing one dangerous game, moving with the finesse of a dancer in perfect timing to avoid the enraged strikes of her opponent. "Don't let me think I'm becoming predictable or I might just see it as a challenge and be forced to take things to a whole new level," she warned with a raucous laugh, cut short as the little badger finally managed to swat at one of her forelegs. Shit.

Finally feeling quite done with her game, Iskra turned and zipped over to the nearest tree, standing beside it and sticking her tongue out the now livid animal she'd been messing with for so long. It charged after her, and at the last moment Iskra zipped around the tree and raced toward, then past Artemis with a gleeful cackle, "Better run before he catches one of us!" She wasn't sure if it would actually divert it's attention to Art of not, but the idea that it might do such  thing would probably get Artemis moving pretty quick.
