The Primul of Dragoste had started his summer in the southern lands, combing over each territory in search of Rikeros, his daughter, or any of his other siblings. He was worried… Gods above he was worried. For each day his daughter spent apart from her family there was a greater chance of corruption… of her getting hurt… or worse. His stomach churned at the thought. Their poor little Philly… why hadn’t she listened to their countless warnings about the borders? About strangers? He shook his head. Deep down he knew she was young, naive, and eager to play… she wouldn’t care about stuff like that.

Ganta felt sick to his stomach… what sort of lies could Riker be feeding her? There were so many possibilities… so many negative possibilities… He came to a stop, scenting the air again. There were young ones nearby… but they were male… and certainly not his daughter. Ganta was starting to feel even worse, wondering if he might ever see his daughter again. He slumped towards the ground, grief overcoming him as twilight danced in the land around him. Soon it would be nightfall… and that meant another night of sleeplessness as he searched for his little girl.

He was growing bigger and stronger by the day, and if he was lucky one day the little grey smudge would grow to be at least as big as his parents. That'd be pretty cool, though what he really wanted was to be even bigger, like feli. The idea made him grin, pearly whites flashing as he batted at a low-hanging branch, leaping up into the air and taking a bit of a tumble due to the less than graceful landing. Eventually he'd have some coordination, once he grew into these stupidly awkward legs... He hoped so at least. It would suck if he just stumbled all over the place his whole life. His brothers would tease him to no end!

Hopping up from his prone position sprawled out on the ground, Amos set to wandering through the orchard, gazing up at the fruit trees and their pretty green leaves with curious bi-colored eyes. The wind caused everything to rustle a bit, golden light filtered down to light the space, it was all so much for his puppy senses to take in. A burst of boyish energy sent him racing through the trees, jumping over obstacles, ducking under a fallen log, he moved as fast as his little legs could carry him. It was all going just fine until just after he scrambled around a bend and managed to get his hind leg caught on a root, causing him to hit the dirt hard with a loud thud!

As soon as he recovered his first reaction was to try and fight the thing that had caused him to fall, squirming around to gnaw at the root with as fierce a growl as he could manage, brows knitted tightly together to express his irritation at the situation. He'd become so caught up in seeking revenge for the sudden fall and the pain caused by his leg being caught that he'd still neglected to free himself from his predicament so absorbed was the little one in his great battle.

A sound nearby drug Ganta out of his somber mood, white gaze flickering in the direction of the sound. His ears perked, heart beating a bit faster as he approached the source of the sound. That was when he saw the young boy for the first time, and Ganta felt his heart clench in his chest as a mixture of different emotions overcame him.

The innocence of the child, locked in battle with a root, tore at him. Philomena likely would have done the same thing… Oh his poor Philly… if only Riker hadn’t been smart enough to cover his scent with mud too! The trail had ended cold and Ganta cursed his luck. He felt like he was trying to find single grain in all of Boreas right now… maybe even beyond those lands by this point.

“You shouldn’t struggle so much… Struggling can cause you to twist your paw into a worse position, possibly spraining it. Be calm, try pulling it out slowly if you can.” He wasn’t sure if the kid would listen to him, or possibly get more startled by his presence, but hopefully he wouldn’t make things worse by speaking up.

Growling and chewing as though he was the scariest fiercest wolf in the whole world, Amos would continue his battle against the evil root monster. The pupish antics hid the very real irritation he felt towards his predicament. He didn't like being stuck, it made him pretty mad. The battle may have continued for a while till he calmed down, but it was interrupted early by a voice nearby. Flopping over so he was upside-down with a mouthful of bark, large tri-colored eyes lanced around seeking the source of the words, "Wah?"

String up at the pale man, Amos sat for a bit with mouth agape. He hadn't seen a lot of strangers in his short life, and the one of two he had encountered hadn't looked nearly as interesting! Staring at the larger adult only occupied him for a second, attention soon flicking back to the root that held him hostage. "Oh, okay!" he cried louder than necessary, rolling around to a position where he could more easily focus on extracting the snared limb. Slowly, he pulled his silvery paw out from the natural trap, then awkwardly flopped around again as he twisted to look over at the man with a silly grin, "Did it!" he announced with pride, tongue lolling out of his mouth. Wriggling closer to the guy without a care about not knowing him, Amos began the classic puppy assault of questions, "Who are you? Where did you come from? Why are you so tall???"
