Torin narrowed his eyes, watching a young buck a bit of a ways off. The deer was clearly wary of the wolf watching it but for the time being had decided he was no threat; and tempting as it was Torin had to agree with that assessment, he simply wouldn't be capable of bringing the buck down alone and certainly wasn't stupid or foolhardy enough to try.

Instead he simply shifted on his haunches, ears perked and dual colored gaze watching the tempting treat. The thought to seek help had crossed his mind but he simply couldn't be bothered enough to seek anyone else out. Worse came to worse there were smaller less dangerous things he could catch rooting around in those grasses.

Patrol, wonder how mother was doing, worry a lot, patrol some more - his life felt like a bundle of nerves. He was still a little upset Faite had left to go find Miach and Kane, but mostly because he felt like he had no idea what he was doing now. So mostly he was just left to sit and sulk and do the things he knew how to do. A pack meeting was probably in order considering he and his siblings were getting older. It was about time the rest of them got their own rank. They couldn't stay apprentices forever after all and the way he saw it it wasn't fair for him to have a duty and not them. Then there was the dreaded announcement - telling everyone he had taken over in his mother's absence. How would they take that?

He wandered around the pack lands by himself until Torin's scent caught his attention. It was one of the siblings he hadn't spent a lot of time with lately. Kairi was normally his go to companion, but it seemed like today had different ideas. His tail waved softly behind him as he trailed after his brother and it wasn't long before he found his pale coated brother eyeing a buck. He quieted his steps as he pulled himself up beside Torin and sat down.

"Thinking about lunch?" He asked quietly.
