YOUNG AND A MENACE

It started out with an endeavour in laziness. The godling was not always so active, there were days where going with the flow seemed to be the name of the game. Here, they had paddled into a deep and strong current within the river. Letting their limbs go lax, they floated away down the current. Worry was far from their mind. Holding their nose above water was really all that was important. Eyes closed, they let the water take them. The weather was cooling down, slowly but surely. The constant rain in some areas had brought flooding, and here was where the beast was in their element. Chaos abound.

Here was the problem. The river was slowly beginning to dwindle. Now, their toes scraped across the bottom. Orange optic would slide open just enough to get an idea of where they were. A lush creek, apparently. Reeds and cattails lined the shores, and blocked the view of the distance. It wasn't enough to force any action. They pulled in their elbows, and the current pulled them a bit faster.

Wander here, explore there, collect some herbs, sleep, repeat. This was the life of Razi Abraxas at the moment, and she was admittedly growing bored of it. Still holdin off on building a permanent den until she had a better idea of where the family might end up, she was rapidly running out of ways to amuse herself. Maybe she needed to go hunt down more healers and see what she could learn. It wouldn't do to take too lengthy of a break from trying to increase her knowledge.

When she came upon the creek the ebony and orange woman veered in that direction after only a moments consideration. The promise of a nice spot to get her paws wet was too good to pass up. Sitting on the bank she lapped gently at the water, ever the elegant drinker she wouldn't even get a drop on her face. As her front paws were slipping into the cool waters she caught sight of somethin in the water and her head shot up to et a look at it. It was... A relative? Blinking slowly, the woman tried to see if her eyes were simply decieving her, but no, it was indeed an Abraxas. Well, then. Huh. She cleared her throat as though to speak, but simply ended up stoically looking at the other wolf, face rather blank. At least she wasn't acting out of character - serious as always, that was Razi in a nutshell.

YOUNG AND A MENACE

Amidst the soothing babble of the creek, someone interrupted. An attempt to speak that was soon abandoned. Who would dare- Mismatched gaze would slide open, and focus on a vaguely familiar form. The accompanying scent stopped the beast from launching into an attack. Family. Her scent lingered over the Bent Canyon where they made their home. Fine, then the drifting seemed to be over. The young woman was staring passively at them, but didn't make use of her vocal chords. She was a beautiful creature for sure, who didn't appear to resemble the rest of the family in many ways. She was taller than average, they guessed. However, clear cut and elegant markings had her breaking off from the norm. Generally the Abraxas' were mottled with different hues, but she had concrete and fancy markings covering her.

Lowering their toes into the silt, they slowed until they could get their feet beneath themself. Raising their belly from the water, they continued the staring match with their unfamiliar sister. Sure, speaking was an option, but they were feeling lazy.

Standing in idle silence, the quiet that settled between the two wolves was unyielding. In a sudden rush of irrational behavior she'd decided she was determined to not be beat in this contest of wills and would not be the first to break the silence. Now that the unknown sibling was standing she was able to give a quick once over of the sopping creatures form. Razi hesitated only a moment, then decided to meander down river, gliding along the shore at an easy pace, cattails brushing against her thick fur on her sides.

Whether or not walking away counted as winning a silent staring match or simply ended it was up for debate. Whatever the answer, Razi no longer cared as she'd discovered a nice shallow area with large rocks she could tip toe across without ever getting wet. Busy padding along and picking her route one step at a time, she didn't notice the frog that had made its way closer until the thing jumped right on top of her head. Freezing, the woman tried to look up at the green nuisance.
