Promises and truces

After laying low in silence for so long, it felt like everything was suddenly gearing up around him again. Carletta was pregnant for certain now and he was a bundle of excited nerves and energy. Finding the new feline addition to their family had turned into an early adventure into parenting for the two of them. They had both been parents separately, but this was the first time they had a chance to be parents together. It was a different adventure to care for someone that could climb trees and get lost in the blink of an eye, but it was an interesting adventure. He branched out away from the mangroves for a bit in an attempt to find a hardier meal for the three of them. He wanted to bring back a small deer or something along that size, but he wasn't certain he could do it on his own. He could always catch several hares to bring back, but that didn't seem much different than what he was currently finding for them in the mangroves. He hummed softly with thought as he quietly walked through the redbud nook. Maybe if he could find someone to hunt with him... but who would be out here that would be willing to help him with this task? |
