Critical Fail!Christmas 2019
05-25-2018, 02:36 PM (This post was last modified: 12-13-2019, 12:01 PM by Célestin.)

Célestin was pouting at the mouth of the den his family shared. Realistically he knew that his mother was likely not going to push to hard to keep to Uncle Torin's choice of punishment but he had managed to have the obedience scared into him by all that had happened at the border. That didn't mean he wasn't dying to get out and explore.

The boy whined, splayed out on his stomach and head resting on his paws. Without an adult to accompany him he was locked into his place, he halfheartedly scanned the horizon for someone who might be willing to spend some time babysitting him so he could stretch his legs. Still there was a seed of fear that he might spot Zell and to be honest he wasn't even sure how his Uncle Torin would take to him... both of them had been very very scary the last time he'd seen them.

He was finding the cold chill that graced him on his rounds this morning dampened his mood. A reminder of what his life was missing and what his life wouldn't be graced with. He felt it was hopeless in finding Star or another women to love. He felt it was hopeless that he would ever have any children of his own. It was thoughts that made things depressing and today it was really dragging him down. It also brought thoughts on the recent events in the pack, like the two boys being returned home, the drama that ensued upon their arrival. It made him grumble, knowing that there was no way to completely prevent drama and fights among members. Though he was doing his best to continue what Faite had created, trying to put himself in her paws to make decisions. It helped at times, but other times it made him struggle even more. He hoped the fighting wouldn't continue, because he felt he would only continue to struggle.

He was heading back out towards the borders. Heading the normal path he always took it would take him close to Jewell's den. Close enough for him to see it and be able to see if another kill needed to be brought in to them. Though today he got the chance to see something different, something that clearly stuck out in the winter graced territory. He could see a brown and rainbow colored young wolf taking up the mouth of the den. Frost was approaching from the boy's left and Frost could see him gazing out at the horizon. For a moment Frost stopped and watched him, his eyes softening as he felt his heart being tug. The boy was being punished, rightfully so, but Frost knew how punishment felt and how it really stunk. As a boy there was a few times he himself had to be punished.

Regaining his composure the male continued to approach before stopping a few feet away looking to Celestin.

"You look like your having the time of your life," he resisted the urge to smile or smirk at his comment, knowing vary well the young male had to be extremely bored. "Is your Uncle's punishment working?"

Critical Fail!Christmas 2019

The form of an older pack member approaching on the horizon caught his eyes, though he was too deep in his funk to bother moving too much, instead just following the approach with his eyes. It was Frostbite, Célestin shuffled slightly. He didn't know much about Frostbite, knowing only that it seemed he had some kind of power; his Uncle Torin seemed to respect him or at least listened to him but in all truth he wasn't sure what that meant for him. Uncle Torin wasn't exactly his favorite person in the world right now, even if he had to admit he didn't hate him.

The older man stopped before the mouth of the den and spoke. Célestin snorted, rolling his eyes. "I don't want to leave the pack lands again." He admitted, his tone was that of a pouting child. He wasn't going to admit too much that he had gotten the point; he'd done something bad and there were consequences for doing bad things... but it was still unfair!

Frost really did feel bad for the boy, being stuck in the den unable to leave without supervision. What really did the young mind have to do to occupy himself. At this age the boy should be learning, exploring the pack lands and taking things in. This did not mean Frost thought Torin's choice of punishment was a bad one, no in fact Frost would have made the same one. The boy was pouting and frost was tired of being alone. So an idea popped into his head and his eyes looked to the boy.

”That’s good to hear, since you are doing so well how about a day out of the den?” he asked his brows furrowing wondering what the young boy would think. ”As long as you don’t mind spending your day with me that is.”

Frost had always loved pups starting from a young age. He enjoyed thier niece yet optimistic view on the world, this innocence of thier thoughts. He had always been the older cousin who loved to watch his younger ones. It was one of the reasons he wanted kids of his own. In a way it was a bit painful to be near the pups in the pack, a reminder that his chance of having kids was fading, but his mother always had taught him to be generous with his knowledge and he still wanted to help Jewell’s kids learn.
