Gavroche II

Gavroche is not just similar to his namesake, but is almost an exact copy of the figure his grandfather had. From birth the wolf will be incredibly tiny, pixie-like in both height and weight. He will bear a longer, almost fox-like muzzle, long slender legs, and fur that grows just a bit thicker around his ruff and tail. The male will bear rich black flesh, off-white claws, and wide bright green eyes. Unlike his namesake, however, Gavroche's paws are mutated, with longer dexterous paws and pupils that shift in size, shape, and sight like that of a housecat. His paws, while capable of giving the male an offensive edge, are primarily used to help him with crafting and his healing arts. But these are the only differences between the male and his grandfather, the wolf he is said to be the reincarnation of. In fact, Gavroche has even inherited his grandfather's most unique feature…

One of the few winged wolves known to those in Boreas and Auster, Gavroche has a pair of wings that have sprouted from his shoulder blades. Unfortunately, despite his lighter weight and frame, his wings are unable to sustain flight, nor even glide. The wings can act as a defensive mutation, however, and serve as a defensive buffer to tackles or blunt weapons. That said, they are still wings, and the bones within are small and fragile. If one of Gavroche’s wings are grabbed away from his body it is not unreasonable to see the appendage bruises or even the bones within broke. Because of this Gavroche typically keeps the wings closer to his body and treats them as more of an additional buffer against attacks rather than weapons. At birth the wings will be primarily white and reddish-brown, but as his adult feathers come in they will begin to molt in red-brown, tan, black, and brown.

Gavroche’s base coat will be a pale ivory, soft and pure, the color of his innocence. This same color breaks up the ebony fur of his head and surrounds either eye in a splash of contrast. His black legs are also ebony in color whereas his front legs are each a different one; his right foreleg is tan while his left foreleg is brown. The red-brown that rests upon the tops of his wings makes up his ruff, the color dipping on his shoulders where it connects to the wings. He also has a solid red-brown tail that can often be seen wagging in delight or interest at other things. Gavroche generally has a warm disposition, favoring an approach of kindness toward others until their mannerisms prove they are deserving of fangs and claws.appearance

Gavroche has the sort of personality you would expect from a young wolf; happy and eager to live life. He takes in the world with a sense of wonder, from the flora to the fauna, to his fellow wolves and family, this male seems wide eyed and curious about all that the world has to offer. He wears a smile much of the time, finding it easy to be happy and find the light in a situation, even if it seems dark. He is the silver lining that others need and can look at things with a different perspective from others to find things they might not have noticed or thought of. When it comes to meeting new creatures, regardless of species, gender, looks, or preferences the boy tries to be inclusive and live one of the values that the pack he was born in prides itself on. He will have a desire to help others pretty much from the moment he can walk and talk. He wants to see the good in all creatures, struggling whenever there is serious conflict. The naivity he bears will be one of his biggest weaknesses.

Gavroche will want to protect his family and, despite his size, he will insist on learning to fight. Inheriting a determined and stubborn streak from both his mother and father’s lines, once the boy’s mind is made up there will be little that can change it. He will put in all the effort he needs to in order to achieve his goals, never afraid of hard work and a challenge. In fact, Gavroche lives for challenges! He gets a rush when he is able to beat them and prove that being tiny doesn’t mean he can’t do things. And, much like his parents, Gav tends to look before he leaps. Gavroche rushes into situations without worry of self preservation, especially if it means he can help protect someone he loves. Gav is a male who prefers to live life by doing, rather than planning, and will click best with those who have a similar mindset.
