She knew Creed was going to help her with her training more eventually, but she knew he was still really busy most of the time. When she woke up this morning she decided that she should at least try to take her training more into her own paws. She wasn't' sure why she had such a burst of determination, but she might as well take advantage of it! She thought hard to remember all the things her mother had said the Emissaries did and were responsible for and she knew that she had to be able to run for a long time and should be training for that a lot so that's what she would do today!

She started out in the Plains near the family's dens and went running through the area and made a wide arc near the border. She circled back toward big lake and by the time she got to the water's edge she was panting hard and she could feel a burn in all of her muscles. She certainly couldn't run all the way to another pack like that could she! Well at least she had something to work on now. She made her way slowly to the lake's edge, gradually catching her breath before she took several big drinks of water. Nothing quite like a cool drink of water after a long run!

Solveiga was still getting gradually settled into pack life. The entire concept was new to her, in fact. She had never belonged to a pack, and yet she felt it was were she ultimately belonged. This way, she had a family of sorts to protect her and give her guidance if needed. She could not help the fact that she was dependent by nature. Perhaps growing up with an overly controlling brother had made her that way, and while it had changed a little since he had left her, she did not think she could ever be the type to call herself truly independent. And so, here she was, surrounded by other wolves where she could feel a part of something.

Today Solveiga woke up early and left the den area to stretch her legs and take a walk around the territory. She was still working on committing all of the little areas to memory, making sure the mental map she had was accurate. After all, she did not want to get lost just trying to find where to sleep at night, that would be humiliating. So the young woman set out, walking at a relaxed pace around the territory. Eventually she came to the lake, where she stopped to casually take a drink. Everything was calm. Which was why she became a bit startled when she heard a wolf running closer. Her brow furrowed as she looked up and scanned her surroundings, and soon her baby blue eyes landed on the wolf in question. The stranger slowed her pace and approached the edge of the lake, taking a drink as she caught her breath. Solveiga then realized that the woman looked familiar, not from actually seeing her before but from the description Regulus had given her when she first joined the pack. My younger sister Báine he had said. White with pink skin, pretty little lady and all of that. She certainly fit the description. He had also told Solveiga that the little albino woman loved to meet new wolves. That made two of them.

Solveiga perked her ears a bit and let her tail sway happily behind her. "Hi," she called out, her voice characteristically soft. "We haven't met before, my name is Solveiga. Your brother told me about you, though, you must be Báine?" she tilted her head a bit. Maybe Báine could be one of her first new friends here.

Báine's ears perked as a voice called to her, her pale pink gaze blinking with surprise as she turned her head to look at the woman in question. She really should pay more attention to her surroundings! She hadn't even noticed the sandy colored woman standing there before now. She wouldn't make a very good emissary if she didn't even pay attention to who was around her. She gave the new woman a big, friendly grin when she mentioned that her brother had talked about her and then asked to confirm her name. She nodded as she turned to face her completely, saying, "Yes, that's me! It's nice to meet you, Solveiga. I haven't seen you around before, are you new to Celestial?" She was genuinely curious about her, as she was about everyone she met. If there was anything she loved more than meeting new wolves and learning about them she didn't know what it was. She settled on her haunches since her legs were pretty tired from her run and gave her neck a quick shake so her fur would smooth out over her scruff again, sending her necklace swaying against her chest for a moment.

The pale girl gave a big, friendly grin when she saw that she was not alone, and Solveiga quickly smiled back. Her tail waved happily behind her as she nodded politely to the greeting. "Nice to meet you, too," she said, following the example of the other woman as she sat on her haunches to relax and talk. "and yes, I am new here. I've only been here in Celestial a couple of days, I'm still just getting used to things." She looked around a bit and sighed happily. It was a beautiful place, and a safe one. She really liked it here.

She looked back at Báine as she shook out her fur a bit and jostled her necklace. Solveiga peered at it with curiosity and decided to use that as a topic of conversation. "What a beautiful necklace," she said quietly. "Where did you find it?" There, that should keep them conversing comfortably for a while. Solveiga really wasn't all that great at avoiding awkward silences. It could be so hard to find things to talk about with some wolves. If they were quiet and a bit reserved, as she was, it could prove difficult to keep a conversation alive. She had never had such a problem with Regulus when they had spoken that first day. He was quite the talker. Then again, he had plenty to talk about, discussing the pack rules while also giving the small woman a tour of the territory and a brief rundown of his entire family history. That had been nice, just listening. She loved to listen to others, especially when they told their stories. You could learn so much.

She nodded in understanding as Solveiga explained that she was in fact new to Celestial. "How exciting!" she exclaimed, giving the other woman a big grin. "I've always just lived with my family so I can't imagine what it would be like to join a new pack like that! I hope you're enjoying it so far though and if you need any help at all I'd be happy to help you," she offered, her tail brushing against the ground as it wagged gently. She knew she was still really young, but she knew a lot about this area and Celestial and she just really liked being helpful! That was a feeling she had been lacking lately so if she could be helpful to Solveiga that would be a huge plus.

Her brows lifted with pleasant surprise when she mentioned her necklace, glancing down at it with a big smile. No one had really asked about her necklace before. "Oh, thank you! That's sweet of you to say. I actually found it buried in the estuary that's just outside of the pack borders. The stone part of it was peeking out of the soil and it caught my eye. I dug it up and once I had washed it off I decided it was perfect! Two of my older siblings have necklaces too, I'm sure you've seen Reg's. It's kind of become a family thing I think." She knew she could be a bit of a rambler so she hoped Solveiga didn't mind her talking too much. She tried to keep it short and sweet, but it was so hard! "Have you been over to the estuary yet? It's really neat. There's sooooo many birds you can just hear them chirping everywhere."

Solveiga was loving the company of this girl already. Just like Regulus, she had no problem talking, which was a relief because that meant she didn't have to find ways to fill the silence because there was hardly ever any silence at all. She smiled brightly as she listened to the story Báine told of how she had found her necklace, and how two of her siblings had necklaces as well. "Yeah, I think I remember Regulus telling me he found his on a beach when he was a pup?" she laughed a bit suddenly as a thought came to her mind of a big, red, clumsy pup trying to wear that large pendant around everywhere. "Well, they're both very beautiful. They make me wish I had an accessory of some kind." After all, she always felt she was so awfully plain. Sure, she had markings, but they were soft and blended so well with the rest of her sandy fur that they were nearly unnoticeable. Solveiga had spent all her life being unnoticeable. She kind of felt like being noticed now. Just to see how it felt.

Her thoughts strayed briefly to the earthen female she had met a while back, the one called Peregrine. She'd had such a lively and bold personality, and as if that weren't enough, she carried a lemur around on her back as a companion! And Regulus, well, needless to say he was very noticeable. So was Báine, not to mention how beautiful she was. These thoughts all came at once, and involuntarily. Solveiga couldn't help it, she was a bit shy and insecure by nature and always strived to be like those she admired.

She snapped out of this train of thought, however, when the pale girl started to ask if she had ever been to the estuary. "No, I haven't been," she replied, flicking an ear with interest. "Would you maybe like to show it to me sometime? If you're busy now, we can go another day..."
