A father. The thought made his fur tingle with anticipation, even when there was still time yet for the little ones to be born. He was away from him, but with Nalyda treating the other wolf's injuries he figured it would be better to find something for the two to ear. Fish was what he sought, though with the place he learned to fish, well, claimed that did complicate things a bit.

Thinking of the Rio Grande also made him think of Zanire, the bear who had become a part of his family. They fell apart... and was it all because he fell in love? He wanted to keep both his mate and the bear in his life... they were the most important ones to him. Yet... fate would not play out that way. The bear was gone, her scent faded from the lands. But he still had Nalyda, and a litter on the way. He swore to himself he would be the best father he was able to be. Those children would know love.

Reaching the beach he would see the the tide was in, meaning that there were no pools where he might be able to snag easy meals. With a soft grumble Kar would charge into the moving water, wandering how one was supposed to successfully catch a fish when it was hard to see anything within as it was. Ocean fishing definitely wasn't in his list of skills.
