I Prevail
Forsaken took a small breath of the salty air in before stretching out on the beach. Even with winter the sun still gave off a little warmth, and he welcomed it. His mind was trailing to his own family, however, and the disappointments each of them were. Himself included. But alas, perhaps he’d run across Enigma or Paradox sometime. Maybe the news he had to share with his brother would even save him a bite or two. He snickered at the idea. Oh yes, life was good.
He wanted it he wanted it bad, but there were so many red flags
He trotted along, intent on just enjoying the life around him. It was nice out here, despite it all. He'd come so far, only to end up here. The scent of the bay chilled him, soothing in ways he couldn't even begin to describe. So far these lands offered no resentment, strange for him to accept. Very strange. Good thing his heart was god damn elastic.
There was somebody close by, his stench almost overwhelming. Satchel halted, if only for a moment. It was a male, his favorite kind. Electric eyes burning, he continued in his direction. It might not be that bad, oh wait who the fuck was he kidding? Breathing in the silence, uncertain what he was still fighting for. Who knew? He sure didn't.
Before long he was upon him, retaining the aggressive nature he'd known for so long now. It was a young one, smirking out loud at the discovery. "Can I help you?" this question was mostly rhetorical, but it'd be fun to see regardless. Waiting waiting, oh the fucking wait. "speech" |
