I will lay me down

CAORA FLURA Caora trodded through the soft and springy grass, head dipped to the ground. Ever since she was back to being on her own, the she-wolf's paws seemed to drag a bit more each day. She didn't know what to do with herself, she had no structure. For almost two weeks now she'd just been wandering aimlessly. She hadn't seen another wolf apart from Lorell for months, she didn't even know if these parts were inhabited. If she was smart, Caora'd head North to where she knew wolves were, however she'd grown quite attached to Auster. After wandering most of the day, Caora now found herself next to a gurgling river. The clean smell of running water along with the sharp musk of the pines opened Caora's eyes. She swivelled around on the spot. How on earth had she managed to find somewhere so pretty without even noticing? Deciding to dip her paws in the water, Caora headed over to the surprisingly calm river and stood just at the edge. What the girl was not counting on, however, was the shore to be so slippy. Before she could realise, Caora found herself dunked completely into the river. She surfaced a moment later, gasping with the cold and looking like a drowned white rat. Dragging herself upright, Caora stood for a moment, blue and pink eyes wide, just letting the water pour down her and back into the, embarrassingly, not-deep-at-all river. Thank god no one was here to see that. |

It wasn't often the brutish looking woman found herself traveling far from Talis' borders. She was often content to stay within the pack and have fun playing in the plains or explore the vast castle. Its crumbling walls offered more entertainment than seemed possible and she didn't feel compelled to leave. Today though, Afrit found herself wandering away from the comfort of home to find an exciting adventure elsewhere. She had no destination in mind - last second decisions were the best after all - and she had no plan except to wander until she found something. There were probably better things to do with her time like training with one of her siblings, or her mother, but exploring seemed like the most fun. Of course it still bothered her that she hadn't gotten a rank yet, but she figured that was something to talk to Dragon about after she returned home. She knew exactly how she wanted to proceed so now it was just a matter of proving her worth. The nice thing about Auster was that there always seemed to be beautiful spots everywhere. There was hardly a time that she'd found a place she didn't like here and once again she was glad Dragon had decided to move them. There'd been a few times where the heat had gotten to her, but overall she loved the southern continent. Today that adoration had only escalated as the scent of cedar and evergreen hit her nose. It reminded her of the pines back where Talis had used to live when it'd been known as Ivalice. She glanced around at the trees for a long moment before she was drawn to the scent of water. She arrived just in time to see a pretty young female slip on the bank and go tumbling into the water. Orange eyes locked until the black and white figure before a giggle escaped her before she could stifle it. Humor lit up in her eyes and an apologetic smile crossed her face before she padded to the bank. She was careful with her footing as she peered at the other female. "Do you need some help?" She offered. Walk, "Talk" Think |
