Milk It For All It's Worth [Kaine/Abraxas]
She was tired of the distance. She was tired of hoping to cross their path again or arrange a meeting or anything that resulted in planning and luck. Truly a psychotic bitch if anyone would ever see it. It wasn’t the first time she set foot here at the borders, and who knew- maybe Kaine would try to drive her away. The much late bastard children that they and her knew nothing about from the rainbow woman was long gone out of her mind by now. And she was only eager to be by their side once and for all.
She wasted no time and letting out a howl, much greater and powerful than her original. Maybe more for them and not their leader. She held a tall head, confident in herself more than anything. Not even a doubt that she would be found worthless or enslaved, as long as it were by Kaine she wouldn’t give a shit. She planned to be by their side for the rest of eternity, and hopefully it wouldn’t turn out like Angeal. At least this wasn’t what she saw in her future but isn’t that what they all saw? Lovers, mates, no one ever expected the fall of their relationships. Though Agria would much more easily holler and drop them, or so she thought at least.
She was ready to be a part of the "team". Whatever made them happy, right?
Thankfully, the beast had taken a moment of reprieve from their scouting duties. Thus, they were lounging about when a summons echoed across the Empire. Unfortunately, they had been rather far away. Amon's choice of the grapevine cathedral had proven impeccable. Over time, it had grown into their favourite area. The infrequent dapples of sunlight made a haven for their peace-starved mind. It was dark, closed off, and safe. Of course, there weren't many of their kin lurking there. For some reason or another, it seemed that they preferred the creek.
Just as their precious little pixie had, when she summoned them to the border. It only seemed fair that she seek them out, after so cruelly abandoning them. Kaine had poured their heart out, in their own strange way, to her. Then, what did she do? She fled. A shared moment of weakness and passion, and she chose to turn tail. Though the deity would not deign to admit it, they were deeply wounded. Sulking like a child, they decided to meet her at the border. Hear her out, as she had for them, once upon a time. It was only fair.
Rolling into view, a pale thunderhead. The titan regarded their lover with guarded features. Shuttered eyes and blank expression. Mottled banner hung loosely between strong thighs, unusually limp. Their crown was held between their shoulders, muzzle drooping ever so slightly towards their chest. "You've come crawling back to me, little pixie." They rumbled, gaze flicking over her petite form. She seemed unharmed. Perhaps they ought to change that- penance for her cruel evasion from their love.
"What would happen if I would not have you?" They questioned, brow quirking. There was no mirth in their face, for once. No twinkle in their eyes, or games tripping from their tongue. Kaine was hurt, like it or not. They intended to turn into a pitiful, simpering child for a few moments more.
Eyes narrowed as she wanted to scream, cuss, and holler. And though her irritation was probably noticeable, she kept herself as calm as she possibly could. "Then where the hell have you been?" an urge to roll her eyes resulted in the closing of them. She may not have been trying hard to be with them again, but she still stuck around the same places and tried to catch up to their scent again. If Kaine came looking for her, which in her head he didn’t, they weren’t in the same place at once. So perhaps coming here was the better of options if she wanted to be with them.
But their next words hurt her just as bad as they felt. Because she sensed that they were serious. A shake to her head as she turned to look away from them. She nearly couldn’t take their own cruelty as they thought. "I’m here now aren’t I?" looking back at them, she eyed the horizon wondering if anyone would show anytime soon. "And I won’t run away this time." She spoke confidently, returning her fuchsia gaze back to the beast. She wanted to just lay down and reveal herself to them, tell them to ‘just take her now then’. Become their prisoner or whatever the fuck they wanted. That way she could really never “go missing” or just have horrible luck crossing each other again. But she wouldn’t. She was out to impress this time. Not just give and get.
Upon hearing the howl Malleus cocked his head to the side and considered the voice. Feminine, that much seemed certain. The voice was forceful and he wasn't quite sure how to read that. Demanding? Confident? Perhaps he was asking too much of a summoning howl. There was no better way to find out than to meet the howler. – – – – The first thing he saw upon pushing aside the cattails, was Kaine. His gaze didn't linger there, though. How could it, when the creature who stood nearby was colored so atypically? The woman was pink; nearly the hue that white fur took once bloodied. Not as vibrantly colored or marked as Iskra so perhaps this particular woman was the descendant of a spirit. ”Kaine, a pleasure,” he greeted his relative with a warm dip of his head. The two hadn't ever really had a chance to speak, but Malleus knew the other's name through secondhand conversation. Friendly diplomacy was his default setting for unfamiliar Abraxas and so he would deal with Kaine politely until his uncle proved worthy of more or less than that. The two wolves seemed familiar with one another. It might have even been fair to say Kaine looked a little put out and the woman a little peeved. Honestly Malleus wasn't quite sure what he'd walked in to. Nevertheless, he pressed on. Very businesslike, he asked, ”I hope I'm not interrupting.” |
