Bit by bit, she was coming out of hiding. Like a feral animal, Holly had taken her time getting used to her new surroundings and pack life. She partly felt bad for taking so long to try and come out. And even more so for not trying to help the pack that took her in. She owed Branch a little at least, for letting her stay and being patient with her. She hunted her own food instead of taking from the food stores so that she didn't feel like she was mooching off of everyone else's hard work. She wasn't being lazy or sitting around doing nothing, but she was trying to do some contributions from the shadows. While she was a decent hunter, it wasn't her calling. She had thought long and hard if she wanted to return to doing herbal work, but the trauma sustained as a child and caused by her mother's mental state had caused a lot of her uncertainty in pursuing it again.
She was six years old, and even though it had been years since she dealt with her mother, those memories stuck to her. She was no longer the kind, happy-go-lucky kid she had once been. But a hardened, bitter, and reclusive woman. The only company she had through those years had been Rhava, and she was grateful for the grumpy cat's company. Holly decided today, that she would emerge and perhaps see what herbs grew in this part of the pack lands. And being in the plains opened up some memories she had suppressed as well. This was also the place she had birthed her first litter. A litter she didn't know. Two pups that she had had for the sole purpose of helping someone else who couldn't have them with the other man that he loved. And although the man she had those pups with was an Adravendi as well, he was one by blood. While she only carried the name. She wondered how the two were doing. She hadn't seen them since they were weaned and given to the two fathers.
She had made so many decisions and most of them probably the wrong ones...she feared she was starting to regret a lot of them. And even though she didn't get the opportunity to get to know the two pups she brought into the world and potentially lacked the motherly instincts, she started to wonder how they were doing.
