So maybe she couldn't go to Deathbelle, but perhaps the Warlords mate had a bit more sense between her ears. She marched back to the Oasis where she knew the Alpha pair were denning. She did hesitate after crossing into the terratory, wondering if she was being hairbrained. After all, someone who called themselves a 'Warlord' could hardly be reasoned with, but surely a wolf who would pick then for a mate had to be of equal mind?

She felt weary, but didnt let it stop her. She couldn't just leave Balsam there, she had to do something. She took a deep breath, searched for her earlier momentum, and marked towards the den. Sirius wasnt there, thank goodness. She had purposefully waited until the bastard was away. She ready knew she couldn't get anywhere with him.

She stopped at the den, and cleared her throat. "Does the Queen of this land take audiance, because I would beg a moment of her time to listen to what I have to say..."

The soft call outside their den was not one Zee recognized. If not for the respectful tone she might have been worried that their temporary territory had been breached, though she knew Sirius would hardly let a stranger step foot over their borders. She padded over to the entrance, stepping outside to greet the other woman. Her gaze was cautious but not aggressive and her nostrils flared to scent the stranger. Deathbelle's claim was strong on her, and Zee could only assume that it was an new member of Ashen - or possibly of their armada that Sirius hadn't told her about. "Such formalities." Zee said with a small smile, still uncomfortable with her new position. Her small head dipped in greeting and tilted to the side to regard her questioningly. "What is it I can do for you?" She asked softly, wondering exactly why an apparent member of the empire was here to address her. Deathbelle or Sirius were the more obvious choices to speak to if you wanted to address authority in Ashen's empire. "Speech"

The very small healer try not to shift her weight cautiously from foot to foot as she waited. The Queen was an unknown, and Riva had no idea what to expect from her. Still, she was probably going to dig herself a hole accusing the Queen like this, but what else could she do? She couldn’t just leave the man there.

“What your husband is doing is inhumane, and cruel. I don’t know what he expects to result from this, but I can tell you what's going to happen, the man will die if he stays down there much longer, is that what you guys want?” the healer said the moment Zee opened the floodgates by asking what she wanted. The tiny healer puffed herself up, trying to look more menacing and in control then her tiny, light build form warranted.

Was the woman crazy? Zee's brows furrowed in confusion, her maw parting to speak but taken back by the small wolf's outburst. She lifted a paw, asking her to stop and relax a bit before forming her response. "I'm not sure what you're talking about, I think you've got your wolves crossed." Sirius was no longer the warlord of Ashen's empire, he would not be disciplining their members. Regardless, Deathbelle would never agree to a discipline that could kill a man and even if she did, Ashen had no slaves Zee was aware of to even punish. Was this what it meant to be queen? Random wolves approaching her with grievances that had nothing to do with her? She sniffed the air again, double checking that this tiny wolf was in the correct place. She did smell of Ashen... "Speech"

The Queen raised a hand, as through RIva was having a tantrum, and the healer almost burst you I’m calm, I’m perfectly calm! when the woman spoke, and RIva realised a gross misunderstanding. She had assumed the Queen of the Warlord knew everything the man did. She would realise now that she was wrong. Either that, or the fate of the Songa was so inconesencial she didn’t even consider him at Riva’s outburst.

She was a little thrown off course, and not certain which path the Queen was taking. She, somewhat optimistically, decided that the Queen must not know at all. “Balsam, he’s shorter even then me, likes to climb trees? Your husband dug out a latrine, and chained him to the bottom of it, no bells ringing?” she asked, trying to sound calm, but likely some of her scathing thoughts leaking through in her tone.

Zee stepped closer, her head tilting in confusion. The wolf had calmed herself in body but her words were still angry and coated in attitude. "Balsam is not a member of the armada, he belongs to Deathbelle and her empire." Zee argued, remembering at the mention the tiny tree-climber Sirius had brought home from the festival. "Sirius has nothing to do with his training any longer, perhaps it is the task master Rosemary whom you're thinking of." It was true the Klein was cruel, but there was nothing Zee could do even in her position as queen to tell Deathbelle's Daimyo's how to train a slave. "I don't appreciate your assumptions nor your tone towards my husband." Her words were firm, her protectiveness coming through. "Speech"

Ah she had no idea what was going on with Balsam, and she was quick to defend her husband. She looked to Zee for a moment, keeping the pity off her face, if only just. Did she not know what kind of Monster she had decided to welcome into her home?

“Your husband came to me, and told me that well I could not free to man, I could care for him, tend to his wounds, and the like. I of course immediately tried to free him, but the chains were too well secured for me to remove” She was getting a reading on the Queen now, and didn’t believe her the type to back hand the healing for going immediately against the Warlords words in his matter. “I don’t know who Rosemary is, nor who the slave is supposed to belong to, but he’s in the Warlords lands, and he seemed to have taken responsibility for this by the way he spoke to me” she explained softly. She hoped she had found an ally in Zee, someone who would free the poor Songa.

Zee listened quietly as the small woman tried to explain again and again. It did not escape her notice that she'd blatantly admitted to disobeying a command from her husband, though she could forgive the transgression if what the healer said was true. "I will look into it, you have my word." She responded, unwilling to take this strangers' word against her husband without some sort of proof. Her body was showing the beginnings of anger - anger towards her husband for the things Riva was saying about him - but if her words were proven to be lies then the anger could quickly turn. "Your name." The new queen demanded. "If these accusations turn out to be false, I will need to know who I'm reporting to Deathbelle for slandering her warlord." The threat was real, and Zee's hackles raised at the thought. One way or the other some punishment would come of this news - either her husband was disregarding his moral compass or this woman was trying to defame their new pack. "Speech"
