Fleeing from the bear had left the girl feeling afraid and helpless, the latter of which annoyed her more than the former. Being confronted by the monstrous creature would have left any reasonable wolf scared, she knew that, but to feel like she couldn’t do anything in that moment, to know she had to rely on the adults...she hated it. Loathed it even. It needed to change, and fast, so she went to the only wolf she knew she could turn to for anything.

The girl followed after the scent of the woman beneath the moon, Abbadon curled in his usual perch along her fluffy neck and Abigor, her newest companion, trotting along beside her, his scaly body cloaked in a thick winter cloak to keep his reptilian form warm. Finally, the pale form of the Seraphim came into view and the girl gave a happy yip, moving forward to greet the woman with a few licks to her chin. “Hi mom, you got a minute?” she asked, straight to the point as ever.
