Kuroki pushed through the snow, tinted purple in the moonlight. For the fifth night in a row it shone bright and full, daunting in the night sky. He had no idea what was going on but needless to say he couldn't claim to be keen. Normality was boring and all but this was another matter entirely, like an itch beneath his skin he couldn't reach. The Wall loomed up ahead and though he'd seen and scaled it before it just seemed...bigger tonight, his perspective shifted as he stared up at it from below. The scent of the pack in the distance seemed fainter than he recalled, as though the snowy wastelands swallowed everything, even subduing distance sounds his wolf senses would usually pick up.

Coming here probably hadn't been a good idea, the wilds carried an air of the unknown, uncertainty, but here he was. Alone but not quite.

Nighttime in the north often had an eerie sort of vibe to it, but tonight made him feel especially uneasy. The moon often had a blue glow to it, at least a real faint one, but tonight it cast shades of pale purple down on the fresh snow. At first he thought his eyes might just be playing tricks on him, but it quickly became apparent he wasn't seeing things at all. Even the moon was bigger than usual, at least he was pretty sure. Maybe he shouldn't have wandered so far from home just to explore it, but as he slowly crept toward being a yearling he was growing more and more independent. Often when he had trouble sleeping he found himself heading south, drawn to the Wall time and time again.

He took his familiar route over and across it, something he had ingrained in memory now since his first trip here when he'd been at a loss as how to traverse it. Once he reached the bottom he set out walking, the moon casting strange shadows down on the snow-touched ground, the wall seeming to extend for eternity past him. Only when a scent touched his nose did he slow his pace, ever-cautious around strangers. But wait - this was no stranger. After a brief pause he picked up his pace again, knowing he wasn't mistaken in who he thought was nearby. Bronze wondered why he'd come all this way again, especially on a night like this. He thought he saw a flicker of blue and purple light, just inches from his nose, but when he skidded to a halt it disappeared. "Horns? That you?" A little shiver crawled down his spine as he called out, hoping he was the only one around to hear. This night gave him a weird feeling and he didn't really want to attract the attention of anyone else.

Kuroki's fur stood on end and his skin prickled, but not from the cold. His breath clouded in front of him as his ears flicked forward, straining to catch the faint sound of approaching footsteps. His senses were sharper than this, trained and improved by natural talent, so why did everything feel so muffled? Like his head was being held underwater?  And then as though thinking about it was enough to break the spell, his senses snapped back into place he heard it louder, like the fog had lifted. From the corner of his eye hew saw a blue light, bobbing and dipping, though when he turned it was gone. This better not be a Willows sort of deal all over again, he'd lose his shit.

Horns? That you?

"Blue? Yeah I'm right here, lemme-" He skirted around the wall and clambered over the gap in the middle, hoping to catch sight of his northern pal. "Ain't you a sight for sore eyes? Is the snow usually like this?" He asked, gesturing at its strange hue with a wave of his paw.

It'd been awhile since he'd seen Oki, and though he was surprised to see him here, he was more surprised by the weirdness unfolding in the night around them. He couldn't remember the moon ever being so big, and the way the night cast an eerie purple glow on the snow made him feel uneasy. Whatever was off about tonight, he wasn't quite sure, but it was a feeling he couldn't shake. At least running into Oki was a good distraction for this weirdness. Well - hopefully. He paused, watching as he traversed the wall. He was grateful to see his friend heading his way, easing some of the strangeness he felt emanating from all around him.

He gave a little shrug to his question as he descended. "Nah, definitely not. Oh - look!" He caught sight of something overhead. The sky, full of stars, was hardly a strange sight for him... but he saw a few stars streaking across the sky. Not like shooting stars, but static. He wasn't sure how to describe it, but it sure looked unusual to him. "Never seen anything like that before either," Bronze mused thoughtfully, giving Oki a curious look.

Looking up to the sky Kuroki's brows furrowed so tight his forehead hurt a little. Lines speared across the horizon, similar to the drag left behind when swiped his paw across sand. The Ashen Prince had seen a lot of stuff lately, some stuff he didn't fancy talking about, but this was weird in another sort of way. Almost uncanny.

"Me neither." He admitted, quick to look away. Like he was scared the sight would imprint itself into his eyes. Like a permanent eye floater. "Hey, since you like snow so much why don't you eat it?" He asked, flicking some snow Blue's way.

Though he glanced over to Oki he looked back at the sky after, trying to see if he could see any stars moving. But they weren't, not a single one of them, just a free streaking across the sky like that. "Weird," he commented under his breath, though weird seemed like an understatement. He wasn't sure how else to describe him though, this night was just plain strange and he was glad he wasn't the only one noticing it. He gave a little shiver at the thought, though Oki was speaking up again and his attention fell away from the night sky.

"That's stupid," Bronze protested with a scoff. Eating snow wasn't a big deal, not unless someone peed in it or something, but it was easy to tell if it'd been disturbed or not. Along the edge of the Wall were long stretches of snow drifts that clearly hadn't been touched. The snow was light and fluffy here, and… purple? He frowned at it, wondering if it was just the moon making that weird color or something else. "I dunno if that's such a good idea," he protested again, his eyebrows furrowing in thought. "You first," he encouraged him with a shove of his shoulder into Oki's toward the snow.

A nearby lizard licks some glowing dust out of his eye. You also find 1 crystal. Maybe these are worth keeping…

You notice the full moon is brighter than you've ever seen before. You also find 1 mushroom. Maybe these are worth keeping…
