don't eat the local fare

Maybe licking that mushroom wasn't the best idea.

She woke that morning to a coughing fit that would never seem to end, only to be rudely made aware that her eye had a mushroom growing out of it. As she struggled to paw at it, she became increasingly aware of how painful it actually was to move it around. Feeling a wetness on her paw, when she checked with her free eye, a strange goo covered her paw. It was blue, but not as concerning as the mushroom on her eye.

As soon as she had left her den and others caught sight of her, she was immediately quarantined. She hated this, being trapped inside of the place she already felt trapped in. At least she wasn't expected to dote on the pregnant lady anymore, in fear of infecting her or putting her pups at risk. Being along in the quarantine den however was lonely and boring and becoming more and more uncomfortable. Coughing fits would sneak up on her and as the day went on, her ear began to ache similarly to how her eye ached underneath the mushroom. Was she growing another mushroom out of her ear?!
