It was a new day, and with that new day was time to spend with his family. Beauregard came to stop by the creek, his gaze flicking over to his daughter. All of his family had been displaced, and his children were facing a world of upset as their home was taken away from them. “Imogen,” Beauregard called softly to the girl. She was bolder and more likely to explore and wander off compared to her siblings… he could only hope that she understood the weight of talking to strangers after what had happened to her brother. Beauregard moved toward the water, a small smile appearing on his lips. “Do you want to see if you can catch a fish? Maybe skip some stones?”
