Iorwerth now had the names for the two wolves he would be mentoring though he had no faces to actually match them to. It was time to correct that. He still wasn't entirely sure how to go about these lessons, they would be a strange new concept for the man, though it was clear the first place to start was to meet them and find out what they knew or wished to know. Perhaps then he would have a far clearer idea of how to actually help them.

It was still rather early in the morning, meaning the sun was far from it's highest point, and the heat was not unbearable yet. It was as good a time as any to start he figured, they'd have a while yet before it got too hot and they perhaps needed to seek shelter from the sun. He beckoned Amalia and Mercury to come and then took a seat to wait.

Mercury was very much uncertain about the mentoring program the pack held in place. He didn't much wish to interact with the wolves outside of his family, but his mother told him that it would be good for him. He had found it rather pleasant to talk to Canta so maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all. He didn't know the wolf who was assigned to him, and he barely knew the girl who would be learning from him as well. He would debate about staying in the den, his large year old form still hanging out around his parents den. Had silent not been there to urge him on he would have too. So with reluctance the boy would pick himself onto his feet an drag them to where Ior had called.
He didn't mean to look so sulky, he knew the wolf was only doing his duty. That didn't help Mercury like it any better though, his ears would fall back and he would quietly seat himself a distance away. He didn't want to say anything but he figured the other wolf had never been introduced. And momma always said mind your manners,?"Hi. I'm Mercury." he sounded as though he'd just left a funeral, but he didn't care too much. He just wanted this thing over with so he could go back to training with his dad.?

Perhaps it would have been far better to assign Mercury to a different mentor, one who was a little more sociable and friendly and all round more approachable than the cold male he was now stuck with. Mercury may not have liked interacting with the wolves outside of his family, Iorwerth didn't much care for interaction at all. He was a pack wolf though, certainly played his part and did look out for his fellow members of Seracia though it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he hadn't really developed a bond with any of them.

Together though the pair had made a good step in what others would call the right direction. Iorwerth had chosen to help in this mentoring programme and called his first lesson to get to know his students and Mercury here had shown up. "Hi. I'm Mercury." There certainly wasn't a lot of enthusiasm in his voice and for now Iorwerth couldn't say whether he was glad for that or not. Some lively little thing that couldn't keep his mouth closed would likely get on his nerves a little, so as long as Mercury didn't show a similar disinterest in his education then the pair would probably get along just fine. "My name is Iorwerth." He responded with an introduction of his own. "Do you know whether it is likely for Amalia to join us?" He would give her a little longer to show up, and if not then he would simply have to progress with simply Mercury for today. Seeing as he didn't know the girl though he had no idea what her typical behaviour regarding meetings was; would she perhaps turn up a little late?

Mercury's dark form would rest a bit of distance away from Iorwerth, his silky obsidian tail would curl and wrap around his similarly colored paws. His expression would stay neutral, though his demeanor was obviously less than enthusiastic. He still couldn't figure out what was wrong with his parents teaching him, he had become quite aware of their age suddenly so he proffered to spend his time with them. He disnt know how long he would have with them, so every day seemed like a gift. That was one reason he was so against training with this male, yeah they were pack members and he needed to get to know them.. Right? He could do that later though, he needed to be with the wolves who birthed him. What did this guy know that his dad didn't anyway? His lack luster thoughts would be interrupted as Iorwerth introduced himself, Mercury would manage a respectful nod as he memorized the name. Little did he know that he was talking to one of Canta's distant relatives. He thought of the dark pelted girl and he found the ability to smile at least slightly. His mentor would continue, asking about Amalia. He had met briefly with the girl once, and he was a bit surprised to hear that she was supposed to be learning with him. "I dunno, I can't really remember seeing her at the last meeting. Maybe she left with her parents." he had heard of the Adravendi-Mathias family's exodus. Only a few still remained. Still, Mercury's curiosity would grow and he would think seriously about what he'd learn today.?

Iorwerth was certainly a bit of a proud wolf, he had been taught well from a young age, his early years dedicated to preparing him for a fine life though certainly causing him to lack in his social skills. Still he knew that others had more experience and knowledge than he at times, there was no denying that he had more things to learn, this mentoring lark for starters was a new experience. He'd been the student in the past, but never the teacher. Between the awkward personalities of the two males, these lessons could be somewhat interesting.

"I dunno, I can't really remember seeing her at the last meeting. Maybe she left with her parents." It seemed rather unorganised, assigning him to someone who might not even be present in Seracia's lands now. He'd move past it though, at least for now and simply deal with the young male who had showed up. "In that case we shall begin without her. In order to progress with these lessons successfully I thought an introduction of sorts would be useful to begin with. I do not know anything about you after all, what skills you are particularly interested in developing or how advanced your existing knowledge is." It'd certainly waste a rather lot of time to run through all the lessons Mercury had participated in to date, though a summary of strengths and weaknesses would do for now until he could evaluate the boy for himself. It would probably be wise for Iorwerth to offer a little more information about himself in the introduction, help Mercury to understand a little more about his new mentor, though of course such considerate logic didn't form within the male's mind.
