Myth in the Making

Amon devoted his morning to a thorough patrol of the Creek, and the border he had set in place to protect their portion of it. Every wary, the titan was not yet convinced the rest of these lands would not retaliate against them. He had been loathe to send out members of the pack on other errands, worried that they might be caught unawares with their force divided. But as the warm, rainy season fell away into its cool, arid other half, Amon had begun to grow restless again. There was simply too much to be done. Of course, his plans for the future did nothing to dispel the daily duties which awaited them all. Borders needed patrolled, prey needed felled, and the apprentices needed to get their asses in gear. Amon was pleased to see Pyralis' boy taking initiative, and often noticed him about and active. As for Amon's children and the boy's sister, well... He made a mental note to chat with Pyralis about that. Walking along the creek's bank distracted him somewhat; the water level was lower than it had been a moon ago, but it was to early in the dry season for him to fear for it's running dry. For now he paused to peer amongst the reeds, wondering if he might spot a fish or some other meal waiting for him. The noon sun hung pale and powerful above him, and Amon envied it's view. She was playing in the creek bed today, the water lower then it was last she remembered. Her paws were a little muddied, but she was determined to get a fish out of it. Of course, she didn't know how to fish, and after a few failed attempts and her inhaling more water then she liked, she abandoned it with frustration. Instead, she decided to walk along the bank, fur brushing against the reeds and knocking down the little fuzzy bits off the cattails. The plants were drier too, and she wasn't entirely sure what was going on. She could have sworn they were a bit greener and less dry the last time she was here a few days ago, but maybe it was just a thing that nature did.
Distracted by her endeavor to make as many fuzzies drop that she could get, she didn't notice that someone was practically upon her. It wasn't until she collided with the man's leg, falling back ungracefully on her rump that she noticed. "Ooww!" Grunting as she got up, she looked up to glare at the stranger, though that glare would quickly be replaced with bewilderment. This guy was tall! Even taller than her mom! Who was it!? "Who're you?"
