Putting it not so nicely, Kuroki had been paired with a midget. Quite possibly the smallest wolf he'd ever laid eyes on and then some. Naturally he felt a biting urge to tease and prod, to make light-hearted jokes at their expense and though he tried to fight it all of his efforts were in vain. He shot them a smug little smile, practically emanating Klein energy as he gestured them over with a wave of his dark paw. Some things were genetic, others were just Kuroki being a jerk. He hunkered down, lowering himself so he was on Aris' level. "You ready to go Tiny?"

Aris was excited for the sparring, excited enough that she refrained from any alcohol first so she wouldn't be handicapped by it. But her eyes narrowed at her opponent's smirk and the patronizing way he waved her over. Who the fuck did the brat think he was, King Shit? She leaned closer to him, staring him right in the eye as he got down at her level. "Eat shit, dick for brains," she said with a fangy and less than pleasant grin. "Should have stayed home sucking your mom's tits. You ready? She didn't bother keeping her voice low, though she kept a friendly tone to show she wasn't going to cause trouble over it or whatever. Settling in a fighting stance she'd picked up out of a teaching scroll, she waited for her asshole opponent to make a move.

Kuroki grinned, not at all bothered by her string of profanity. He knew it was kind of deserved and didn't blame her for lashing out a little to set matters straight. Though he meant nothing by it, it was his unspoken duty as the annoying brother to keep the trend going. Maybe he'd touched a nerve though, she seemed awfully prickly about the whole thing, earning her a little head tip. "Maybe you should calm your tits." He offered the idea, his tone just as laid back and friendly as before. It'd take a whole lot more to annoy him and honestly, he liked her fire. That she could burn him if he wasn't careful, though maybe it'd be fun either way. He was eager to find out, if she was all bark and no bite. "I'll show ya a good time either way." He wagged his tail one last time before settling. To business. With no fanfare or fuss, Kuroki rushed in dipping in low as though to bowl her over with a charge. He ducked his head, pointed his horns in her direction-only to claw up a pawful of snow and toss it in the direction of her face. It was one of his favourite moves, he really loved the scrunched up face people made. Nose wrinkled and eyes clenched, it was hilarious and really unflattering. Taking full advantage of his intended distraction he then doubled down on his charge, horns at the ready to give her a good poke. Aris stuck her tongue out at his rejoinder, which was of course a very mature reply to it. Enough talk, she wanted to fight! And the kid was quick to respond to her unspoken demand, because he lowered his horned head and charged her! Ari sprang to the side, just in time to get a sudden pawful of dirty snow to the shoulder. Hey! That was a cheap shot. Rude! She wished terribly that she'd thought of it first. The hop to the side, while too late to have completely avoided the sneaky snowball, did take her out of horn-poking range, and the smallish girl reared up with a fierce snarl and struck out with her claws on one forepaw unsheathed and aiming to box his ear - box it real sharply.

Aww, his makeshift snowball didn't hit her face, but a shoulder hit was good enough! Aside from the little scrunch of her nose she took it well and reared up to give his muzzle a solid whack, claws held in as the force of the hit was all it would take to send his head spinning.  He'd never fought a boxy opponent before but he figured it suited her perfectly, short and stout and good at slapping. Couldn't get any better than that. Instead of ducking out of the way, Kuroki also rose to the occasion, aiming to give her a jab right between her toe beans. That'd show her! Aris was pleased when her smack landed squarely on the larger, younger male. Haha, take that, Splotchy! She was doing pretty good so far, better than most of her spars had gone by this time. Hell, at this point in her spar with Ophelia she'd had a bloody nose and a scratched up face. She'd just... Aris gave a surprised yowl as his stupid horns poled her in between the toes. Oh that was a cheap shot! "In the toes, man??" she squawked, and struck out hard for his muzzle with the other forepaw, her claws extended. She wasn't aiming so much as swatting wildly at him in retaliation.
