The boy was filled with nervous energy. His paws dug into the earth, and he wondered if any of his family members were watching. His sister Gossy had been his guide here. Now he stood in Habari territory, his opponent on his other side. He had never met the wolf before, he knew nothing about them. What kind of fighter would they be? The young Fatalis pup was already taller than the wolf in front of him, and he grinned.

Taking a deep breath, he plunged all in, leaping at the other wolf, going all on offensive. Aiming to slam his right shoulder into the smaller wolf's left.

"Basilisk Fatalis"

Nerves of steel held his body rigid as he made his way toward the area Kali had pointed him in for his spar. Whispers ran through the course of the group of who his first opponent would be. Rather unlike his siblings, this one was a behemoth of a pup, much larger than even his sister Widow. Piled onto that was a heaping of defenses that made Ghoul pale in comparison. Would that deter him? No. He had a name to live up to and he was ready to show off what little skills he held. Standing face to face with the blue and black colored boy, Ghoul held a slightly nervous, but also calm expression. His ears fell back instinctually as his rosy gaze looked him over. Indeed, this would be an interesting fight. Noticing the way his opponent grinned, Ghoul blinked. Did he already believe he'd won? Holding steady, Ghoul watched as the other raced toward him. Bracing himself, he waited until the last moment possible before turning his body so the brunt of Basilisk's force would shove his hind end. Using the momentum, Ghoul twisted his smaller body as his hind end went careening back and pushed forward as much as he could with his front paws. Aiming up with an open mouth, Ghoul snapped his mouth toward the bigger pup's side. The Fatalis pup had never faced anyone outside of his pack before, and he was nervous about letting down his strict father. He did have to fight the urge to smile at his opponent however, knowing he wasn’t here to make friends. He was here to prove himself, no more, no less. But there was a hint of his friendly nature in the tightening of his mouth and the brightness in his eyes.

As Basilisk raced towards his opponent, Ghoul turned and the weight of his momentum hit their rump. His shoulder dove into them, and he felt the white wolf shift beside him. It was the only warning he got before Ghoul shifted with the momentum and went at his side with snapping teeth. Bas growled softly as he aimed to dig his teeth into Ghouls rump, well also shifting his weight in an attempt to swipe at Ghoul’s back leg.

Grunting under his breath as his teeth continued to aim in snapping motions at the bigger pup's side, he hoped to land a solid bite on Basilisk's thigh. Feeling the sharp swipe of claws on his back leg, Ghoul released a short whine before reaching his paw up and kicking out at Basilisk's chest.
