Sanngriðr had grown comfortable, but not complacent. Never complacent-- complacency breeds death. She knows that better than anyone else. Comfortable, but the nightmares didn't stop. Comfortable, but she still felt as if she'd crawl from her own skin. It was fine. She'd be fine. The woman would busy herself, would do her best to remain whole. Busy herself, and do what she could for the simple sake of doing. Of being. They were comfortable in their camp around the wall, why did she feel so guilty?

Still, she'd do her best to push the thoughts from her mind. With practiced, skillful movements, she'd taken to preparing the pieces for a hnefatafl board. It would be the first time they actually had somewhere to sit and play since leaving home. Viking chess. Sanngriðr smirked softly to herself as she wore away at yet another piece of hoof. Her family had taken down sheep, deer, plenty of things-- plenty of things with hooves. The differences in color between hoof and bone made it so she didn't have to ash dye the pieces after all. It was a headache of a process anyway.

With the afternoon sun draped around her shoulders, Sanngriðr perched on a sturdy section of the crumbling wall. She could keep watch and work on her project at the same time. A quiet afternoon.
