Kitsune

Morgawr was back from her exploring and she had managed to keep her motivation up all the way home. She carried her willow bark tray in her mouth as she walked. Set on it was a fly agaric mushroom and a couple valerian stems with the roots still attached. She didn't know what any of her herbs did, but she was excited, for once, to learn what they were. Despite her desire to figure everything out herself without having to ask anyone for help, she had decided that it probably wasn't a great idea to experiment with strange plants. It would probably be hard to learn anything useful without a frustrating amount of trial and error -- and she had no idea how long her often temperamental motivation would last -- and they could be poisonous, which would really set her back on the whole journey. She sat down and set the bark down next to her, staring at it as if it would suddenly start speaking and give her all the answers.

It wasn’t often that the Princess exercised her right to enter the Armada territory. She hissed at her kite as the flighty bird glided over the border, and landed in the tall Armada grass. Hopping through the stalks in comical little jumps. The princess sighed softly, and shook her head. That bird would end up on a dinner plate for its antics one day.
Soothing back her fur and regaining her composure, she stepped up to the border. Being prim and proper, she let out a soft howl, letting the Warlord know she was visiting, and heard one back from the distance. Acknowledgment. Well, nothing else for it then.
She crossed into Armada and moved through the long grasses, trying not to look as if she chased the bird, and followed her further into the territory. Down to the beach. Beaches she knew well, and this one was rather pleasing to the eye. With the heavy roots of the cypress trees sticking up in the shallow side of the beach. As her eyes glazed over them, she realised she wasn’t alone. A young reddish wolf sat on the beach, a selection of herbs before her. “Good afternoon, that looks like a nice batch of valerian you have there. Are you looking to cure a cough?” she asked politely

It didn't take long for another wolf to show up. A woman Morgawr had never met, who walked up to her and said that one of the herbs was called valerian and that that was used to cure a cough, probably. Which one was valerian, she wondered? It was a pretty name for a plant; it could be either the mushroom or the flowers. She knew what willows were, obviously. But she knew absolutely nothing about most herbs. A flaw she was intending to correct with some work, for as long as she cared to.
"I don't really know much about what herbs are used for," she said. "I'd like to learn, I guess, but I just kind of picked these up randomly." She tried not to look too eager, but also not too bored or disinterested. It was a hard balance, to be both interested and still not uncouth.

The other woman admitted that she wasn’t sure what she had picked up, but had a desire to learn. At that, Kitsune settled down across from her, tucking her paws for a moment as she considered the younger wolf. “I’m Kitsune, and I've been learning about herbs. I could teach you, if you like?” she offered, looking down at the selection before them again with a thoughtful frown.
“This one is the Valerian root” she explained, gently touching one with a delicate paw. “It can ease coughs and cramps, and help with headaches and if you can't sleep. But you have to take it in small doses.” she explained
