lessons to live by, pain to feel
sedna
"Goodness!" Sayuri doubled over, feeling exhaustion seep into her cores. She panted, having fought the crocodile with assistance from her new packmates. The woman had some ugly wounds, but nothing that would scar her for life. Thankfully. She was a bit vain and took special pride in her features. Her blurt held pain as she sat down, feeling the effects of the battle dawn on her already. She really was out of shape. Movement caught her eye, and she looked up. Spotting a woman there, she gave a weak but friendly smile. "My apologies" she said to the Tojo-kai wolf "I... I am unaccustomed to being injured lately. Nor do I know any familiar herbs that grow this far south" The other wolf smelt almost herbal, a lovely scent to be sure "um, do you happen to know, good madam?" speech here 0/3 - receive healing lesson (double points) |

Tojo-Kai had been growing and for that she was grateful. Many hands made light work and with her children growing and a number taking interest in herbs, it helped to ensure the pack was well stocked. She was on a round of checking caches, making sure food stores were well kept, keeping a mental tally on their resources when the metallic tang of blood came to her nose.
Her first thought was that one of her kids had gotten into it with the bloody dolphins, like Kuroo had, but the underlying scent was newer than any of that. For a moment, at a distance, she might have even mistaken the other woman for Hanako, but there were noticeable differences, even at a distance. The way she spoke was a dead give away.
Sedna’s brash bedside manner was well known by this point to anyone who had needed to request her services and she wasn’t about to tone it down for a newcomer. She clicked her tongue and sighed through her nose as she moved closer, checking out the various scrapes and bruised with a scowl on her face. “An’ jus’ how didyermanagethat?” It didn’t matter that the woman was fully grown, since having her own children, Sedna’s sense of protection and obligation to the wolves of the pack had only increased. She was every inch an exasperated and concerned lumbering giant mother.
“It’ll depend on what got yer, some o’ my salves are stronger than others. Do yer think yer can make it a bit further or do I need ter carry yer?” the latter was added with a smirk. It would be easier to clean the wounds in her treatment room, but if the other woman couldn’t make it, well she had the height to offer a piggy back now.
“Speech”
-lesson 1/3-
The woman had a rough sort of speech but Sayuri did not mind. She would struggle but resist falling over and making a fool of herself. "I had trained a bit hard" she responded at first, venturing forward to walk with Sedna "I had not stopped for a long period. I shall be fine after rest and herbs, I should think." she was still a healer herself, and could tend to her own wounds... But it was as she said; Sayuri did not know much of the southern herbs.
"I shall manage, my thanks" She added to the woman, smiling through her annoying and irksome pain. Sedna had not been averse to helping her, even if she was short with her words "the wounds are less from predator and more from sparring against a wolf" She walked slower but kept up with the woman's pace all the same, refusing to show weakness "I am Sayuri Chiba, good madame... And you are?"
