The little ginger bean didn't enter this world without a fight, without flailing his pudgy little limbs as soon as he was free from the gooey sack thing. He was a squirmed, unable to stay still or quiet as he rolled around, eyes closed and mouth wide open, squealing as loud as his tiny lungs would allow. Though completely blind and deaf he knew he wasn't alone, wasn't even aware of the concept yet as he'd always been surrounded by his siblings. Tummy to tummy, limb to limb. And yet there was even more movement than he was used to, the little bean felt the ground shake and rumble before he was scooted elsewhere, to safety though he did not know it. He was quiet for a moment, as thoughtful as a newborn baby could be before he started up his ruckus again, loud and squealing, refusing to be forgotten and ignored.

He was quick to fall quiet when warm stuff was presented to drink, instincts sharper than any tooth or claw swept into action as he began to have his fill. He had lots of growing to do and none of that could be done on an empty tummy.

Right as he reached to swipe his own child out of the way, the heathen's bear paw collided first. Watching as his largest child was punted into the air to land on the beach nearby, Gil was almost dumbfounded. Who the fuck just punts a puppy around like that? Blinking a few times as the growl died in his throat while his brain could register what was really going on, it was the antagonizing "make me" that brought him back. Body in full defense mode, Gil was not about to let this asshat get away with possibly killing the Pirate King and punting a baby. Punting his baby at that!

He took a step closer, sizing up his opponent, thinking of the best way to dole out his revenge. It was then that he noticed that girl's scent on the man. Hanahoe as Gil liked to affectionately call her. A laugh erupts from him as he stands up straight and gives his head a shake. "So that's why you're here? You're not just some crazed idiot trying to off Sparrow? You're her little bitch boy, eh?" Gil peels back his lips in a sneer as he looks the brute over. Of course, she would send him to do all of her dirty work. Why deal with your own issues when your man can do it for you? He almost didn't want to even give the dude the time of day for all of this and just tell him to get the fuck back to wherever he came from, but what fun would that be?

Peeling forward without another moment's hesitation, Gil closed the space between him and the dire. Quickly refolding his ears and tucking his chin, just in case the man tried, Gil would avenge his daughter. He would avenge Sparrow and the rest of the Pirates and hopefully send this man packing. Reaching one paw forward with toes spread, he aimed a swipe at the same shoulder Deluge had gone for. Yet, this time, if he were successful, a nasty scar would be left in its place.

Gilgamesh seemed bothered and Azure could only assume it was for the swat he had delivered to the runt who had been chewing upon him. It appeared the man finally realized what Az was here for in that moment, and the Armadan alpha gave a brisk laugh in reply. "I wish I could say I am surprised that someone coming to 'off' your alpha is just another normal occurrence for you idiots, but I'm not. On the off chance you are all as delusional as your King let me make it perfectly clear - I am not the only alpha who would come for revenge on a pack who kidnapped his mate. Yes, I am hers, and most importantly, she is mine." The word was a snarl, sending bubbles of blood out from the corner of his lip where the crimson still ran down into.

The man closed the distance between them and Azure grinned as he approached. The paw came up with intent to come onto Azure's shoulder and he moved to intercept, darting his head forward with jaws splayed, intending to catch the offending forearm in his jaws and crush the wrist before it could make contact.

He'd been patrolling the other side of the beach when he heard thought he heard something. Pausing his patrol, he perked his good ear and listened, crimson gaze narrowing as he tried to figure out if it had been Sparrow he heard or a figment of his imagination. But then he heard an additional howl for help, and the next thing he knew, he saw pirates in the distance racing across the beach. "Shit." What the hell was happening now? He wasn't aware of the tension with Armada and the Pirates, nor did he really care. But considering he was in the pack, he had an obligation to protect their borders, just like he would do were he in anyone else's pack. But more importantly, with Eden pregnant, he had even more of an obligation to show up. Because truth be told, if shit was going down, Eden was likely to be in the midst of it tending to any wounded.

Paws ate the ground as he raced to follow his packmates across the beach. And by the time he arrived, Gilgamesh was in a tangle with an Armada wolf that he vaguely recognized when he'd seen him in passing during random public events but didn't know who he was. He spotted Eden tending to Sparrow, and when the Armadan wolf ended his fight with Gil after an audible crack of his packmates limb, Ignis suddenly worried that the trespasser would attempt to harm what belonged to him. Eden was too close for comfort, and as Sparrow lay there bleeding and unconscious, it was evident that the Armadan male had no qualms in harming an obviously pregnant woman. And he had no idea if Eden was next.

That was enough to set him off. He would not allow the male a chance to try and harm her. Without stopping his charge, Ignis made a beeline for Armadan's left side. A crimson bullet aiming straight for him. "Rip him apart!" Blödhgarm cried in his mind. And in one swift moment without skipping a beat, his mind had shifted control. Jaws gaped open, a snarl ripping from his jaws as Ignis sought to plow his body into Azure's left flank, seeking to hit the male like a battering ram and potentially topple him or cause his hind legs to buckle and lose balance as his left shoulder lined up with Azure's left hind leg. His head lunged, teeth seeking to tear into the male's hip.

"Ignis"||"Blödhgarm"

The crack of broken bone was music to Azure's ears. He wrenched his head to the side, twisting the injured wrist hard between his sabres until his opponent was forced to concede to his victory. It was a wound he would have liked to prod at further, but the chaos surrounding him and his unfortunate positioning in a one - versus - many scenario meant not even his sadistic side could convince him to focus too much energy on one wolf. Tearing his gaze from Gilgamesh, he scanned the bloodied beach.

The combatant-to-be coming onto the scene now was looking equally as enraged as Azure felt. He snarled once more as the male approached, but this pirate seemed uninterested in talk (which suited Az just fine.) Planting his paws firmly in the dirt, his frame curving away from the crimson bullet as he readied himself to absorb the heavy blow. The red one came in hard toward his flank and Azure moved at the last moment, attempting to pivot and pull his flank and hindquarters away and instead reach his own jaws in to catch the charging man's thick scruff. At the same time his opposite paw came up, slamming down where he hoped Ignis would be caught so that his curved mutated claws might rend open the flesh along his side. The back to back fights were beginning to tire him and he could feel his agility waning with each new bout. Whether or not Azure came away successful in this one would rely upon whether or not he could out maneuver a rested wolf - which, by now, was seeming less and less likely.

It was absolute chaos.

She barely had any time to prepare for Sparrow's birth and now that it faced her, she kept becoming distracted. This only heightened when Ignis showed up, attempting and failing to maim the trespasser. He called himself an alpha, and Eden could not fathom understanding why he would associate himself with a leadership position, being selfishly trespassing and causing trouble. Surely if his intentions were noble, his pack would be at his back?

But none came to help him.

One after one, even Gilgamesh fell in the end. Eden tucked herself closer to the squirming babies whose sacs had been opened before she nipped more. Directly them to the mother that had seemed confused how this happened - and also unable to defend herself now. She was torn between assisting her alpha's brood, and alpha, and assisting the father of her children. But she knew Ignis could handle himself. He had proven this. Time and time again.

Leave! she wanted to wail, absolutely useless in this situation. She placed more children at the side of Sparrow's stomach, trying to curl around the unconscious King to protect the babies from the outside world. What utter chaos. And not the good kind she came to associate with the Plunder. This was pure madness. go away! She shut her eyes, tears in them as she pictured - again and again - the cries of pain, shock and rage. The expressions on the faces of the pirates, and the rage on the alpha man.

"Eden" &"Ignis"

2/3 - assist birth

Another fight, another victory. His paw came away bloodied, bits of flesh wedging themselves beneath his claws. A distinctive pain in his hip had told him Ignis' teeth found some mark, but thankfully not enough to cause the severity of wound the man had sought to deliver. Every muscle of his body ached, his adrenaline waning enough that no longer did it dull any pain. Cuts upon his hip and shoulder bled down and into his fur and his ear pained him enough that occasionally his head would tilt sharply to that side. Each and every injury had been earned and deserved and yet still, Azure had not been made to regret this chaotic turn of events. Somewhere out safe toward the east his bat was lying in wait, clinging protectively to the trophy he had severed from the Pirate King's head.

No others approached to intercept him and Azure straightened, meeting each individual's eyes and keeping careful watch for any sign that a defeated challenger would move to attempt him for a second time. Left unbloodied was what appeared to be a very pregnant healer, curled around the newborn puppies, and children who were only just old enough to be outside of the den. Azure considered them briefly, but in the end would conform to the unwritten rules of war - healers and children were off limits, unless they were to attack him first. "What happened today is the fault of your so-called King." He rumbled, muzzle wrinkling in hate. "Remember that. She put her stupid delusions of love above each and every one of you and willingly endangered you by attempting to take what is mine. I will return should any Pirate move against the Armada again, and next time I will not be alone." He let the threat hang in the air, and then gave the semi-conscious Sparrow a casual glance. "Oh, and tell Sparrow I said congratulations."

He took a step back from the gathered wolves, still bristling with lips peeled back over his gums. The pirates did not play by the rules - this much Az already knew - and he could not rule out that one would attack him the moment his back was turned. He'd accomplished what he'd come to do and was eager to begin the long journey home.

They could not leave Sparrow and the children on this beach. There was a pool of birth and blood all around them. Eden had locked eyes with the intruder, feeling her fur fluff up in defiance and defense. A gentle but warning growl had left her lips, but he looked past them. Left them alone. Left the pack's border if not stopped. She nipped the last sac of Sparrow's child before rising. Eden circled the new mother and their leader before trying to become consumed by duty and loyalty. It was hard to shut out the cries of pain and the sounds of battle.

But she had to. The puppies were safe now, with the dark man gone. "Ignis, Modesty" she said quietly to the largest among them, a pleading look in her eyes to help without fuss "we need to move Sparrow and the puppies" Eden placing a gentle paw on Sparrow's stomach, trying to feel if there were any other pups. None. There seemed to be a blessing in that moment, for their King was exhausted "i-if you can help... You're the biggest and can probably move her smoother than others. Gilgamesh, if you want to help us or your children - I understand." Either way, an extra paw moving Sparrow would be acceptable. They were all hurt in some way but.

Predators could be attracted to this mess.

"E-Everyone else, please gently take a puppy and follow me. Help the wounded too... If anyone needs medical attention, I'll be with Sparrow and the puppies until she wakes up." Eden leaned forward to take the calico-coated puppy (Calico Jack) in her jaws as gently as possible. She tried to keep close to their King if Modesty and Ignis moved her like she quietly and gently requested of them.
