Winter had passed, and now it was about time to stretch the old muscles. Cooped up in a cave for the bitter months of blizzards and howling winds, the titan was more than eager to get back out into the world. With a spring in their step and their tongue lolling from their heavy jaws in a lazy grin, they were off. Lurking around the muddy entrance to the familiar caves, they found themself poking about for half thawed animal remains or a particularly appealing clay deposit. Already the fur up to their elbows was caked with muck and grime from digging through the silty soil between the mountain range and the coastline, which bothered them very little altogether.

Perhaps a few cool leaves would also be nice, since there was a lot of very plain-looking pottery sitting at the back of their workshop waiting to be decorated. The very first thing the crafter had run out of during the winter was paint. Not nearly enough pigments, apparently. They'd seriously underestimated how much ochre was required to dye their clay pots the right shade of red, and how much mica would be needed to make the patterns particularly shiny. Far too late, someone in the clan had mentioned that placing leaves upon the still heated pottery would char the design right into the material. Not much help in the middle of winter at the top of a mountain, now was it?

The monochrome giant gripped the end of a long bone that jutted out from a snow bank near the base of a particularly steep cliff, and dug their claws into the ground while they hauled on it. The remaining carcass was yanked free in an explosion of half-frozen soil, gore stained snow, and matted fur. Based on the smell, it had thawed out at least a few days ago. Maggots were starting to wriggle through the areas that had been above the snowbank, while the rest of the carcass remained stiff as a board. That was fine, a few days laid out at the top of the mountain would have most of the soft tissue cleared away, and the bones and teeth could be used to make tools and jewelry. Perfect!

The north of Boreas housed untold wonders for the girl. She roamed freely, aware of the packs in the area. Not looking to fight, nor trespass or trouble! She didn't do that anyway and would apologize if accidentally. Tallulah sniffed the air, coming close to the maw of the cave. That's when she spotted a pale figure ripping free a decaying corpse. She bristled openly but wasn't hostile.

"Howdy, sir" She finally said if he didn't notice her presence. Her head tilted to the side somewhat, a little frown "wha'cha doing?" Curious as she was, she was also appalled by the corpse. Maggots ain't her favorite animal. Hell, they were up there with chickens - a demon bird if she had a say! She much preferred to tend to sheep and other herd animals. Sheep were nice, lazy, and leisurely.

Horses, too, were her favorite. Despite being put off, the girl bravely faced the question she asked. What, exactly, did he want with a corpse?

The titan started at the sound of a voice that had piped up from seemingly nowhere. Dropping their prize, they turned to stare blankly at the stranger. A smaller fae with a mottled brown coat. "Howdy," they said, testing the word out on their tongue. It was fun! At her question, the monochrome giant looked between the damsel and the frozen carcass that now lay at their feet. "Uh," they grunted, auds tipping backwards awkwardly. Yeah, this probably wasn't a great look. "Well, I've been cooped up in the caves all winter. And, uh," they glanced up at the fae again. "I've been bored. Hoping to get some use out of this here carcass! The bones can be turned into chimes, or jewelry, and the fur can be turned into brushes or something, and the skin can be turned into tools for my workshop if it ain't good enough to make into necklaces or bracelets." they knew damned well they were droning on, listing off the endless possibilities of this one carcass when this lady probably didn't give a damn about any of this.

When they finally managed to convince their tongue to quit wagging, they let their mouth shut with a click. That was a whole lot of nonsense. A soft clearing of their throat, and they blinked once before flashing a bashful smile the lady's way. "What's brought you up north? Not a lot of folks up here until the weather gets real warm." they drawled amicably, the corners of their dappled gunmetal eyes crinkling with a small smile. It was so nice to see someone who wasn't part of their clan, after several months of being cooped up inside staring at painted cavern walls.

He seemed to be slightly embarrassed she had found him like that. Tallulah kept her stance and distance. Just in case this man was not really as friendly as he seemed to be - nor innocent. He said he had been bored and more or less had found this corpse. She lifted a brow.  "Ya didn't hear or see this fellow" Her gaze drifted to the corpse "all winter?" Being neutral to someone who needs help and is near death was just as bad as doing nothing, in her eyes. She wondered if the corpse had been a seasonal death or had been... here longer. But if it had been, he surely would have noticed it before now. It was suspicious.

"Explorin', sir" Tallulah replied to his inquiry though. Even if it was a bit odd, she returned her gaze to his features and tried to find anything untoward "just arrived in this here land" She flicked her tail to not just around the vicinity but the whole of Boreas "figured I'd get me bearings best I can" And decide where to settle down, if at all. Pa had the farm still, and she could go back... If nothing rightly held her here. She'd give it a few seasons at most then go back to Pa and the farm "so" she decided to move on, direct a question and see if he fucked up "ye craft things, aye?"
