Beach stroll
Ciannait

Before he started to venture out of Ashen's lands to explore this part of Boreas more throughly, he wanted to get to know his new home inside and out first. He had spent a good bit of time exploring the forest that made up the one half of Ashen's territory already so today he was focusing on the chain of islands that took up the other half. He followed the shore of the largest island, a place he had been told was called Dove Island, and made a leisurely loop around it, peering out at the other smaller islands that were near by. The sounds of the doves in the trees made a backdrop and background noise for his stroll and certainly made him realize why the island was named the way it was.
The sound of paws moving across sand pulled his attention away from the ocean to his right and his two toned gaze turned to his left till it landed on a woman with fur that was all shades of tan and brown with interesting, banded markings across her back. It seemed like she was walking in the opposite direction of him through the island, but since he was also in need of meeting his new pack mates he didn't mind stopping his patrol of sorts to say hello. When she got a bit closer so that it would be comfortable to speak without having to call out to her, he smiled and gave her a dip of his head in greeting. "Hey there, I don't think we've met yet. I'm Remus." Exploring was always better with company anyway!

Unbreakable Survivor
The skies were a bit overcast as the youth moved along the shoreline. Turquoise lenses gazed out towards the open sea, the waves crashed upon the shore. It was a soothing sound to the young woman. Though Cian hadn’t been a member of Ashen for too long, she had quickly grown accustomed to the sounds of the island pack. It was peaceful. Two toned limbs carried her along the shoreline. She was exploring the edges of the island, not really knowing if the islands really needed to be patrolled. Sure, the youth knew of the land-bridges, however, they were easily guarded. One or two wolves at either end of the bridges could easily solve the need of a patrol. The territory itself was naturally well guarded, Ciannait noticed. Well, unless someone were daring enough to swim across. The thought caused a small smirk to split otherwise neutral features.
The youth was too absorbed into her own thoughts that she failed to notice another coming up from behind. His voice was the only indicated that the man was there. Auds twisted behind her, earthen toned figure following shortly after. How could she have not noticed him? She silently berated herself for a moment, knowing that if she had still been on her own, packless, that she would have noticed him. Ciannait was growing comfortable. A bit too comfortable, she realized. This fact disturbed her, but the Adhil would not let it show. Instead, the golden maned yearling nodded to the man who introduced himself as Remus. ”No, I don’t think we have,” she agreed. ”I’m Ciannait,” the youth returned the gesture with her own introduction. Well, she supposed it was was good to get to know everyone in the pack. She had already met many of the youth in the last meeting, as well as some of the adults. What harm was it to know more of her pack?

Remus gave Cinnait a small grin as she introduced herself, his tail wagging gently behind him. So far everyone in Ashen had been pretty hospitable and friendly since he arrived and he wondered how much of that was just a general respect for their fellow pack mates and how much of it was the wolves here just being genuinely friendly. "Nice to meet you, Ciannait." He didn't know how he was going to remember all of these names he was picking up slowly but surely, but hopefully it was going to be easier than he expected it to be. Everyone was so unique and different that it was at least easy to remember a face if nothing else.
"Well, I'm pretty new here so I was just learning my way around. I thought maybe we could walk together if you didn't mind?" He gestured for her to continue the path she was taking with a smile and he fell into step beside her, matching her pace. His two-toned gaze turned to roam over the trees around them again, his ears perking at some bird song in the distance. "There's a lot of birds out on these islands, huh?" he mused, listening for a moment as the different calls went back and forth as if the birds were singing to one another. I do like listening to them. I imagine it'll be nice to just come out here and relax."
