Hattori felt as though it had been too long, seasons, since he had sparred with someone from beyond Tojo's borders. He stepped carefully over the uneven ground, large paws leaving wide tracks as he went. He liked how quiet it was here in Auster, that no one bothered him unless they truly felt it necessary. He had no quarrels with the neighbours and as far as he was concerned, neither did they have any issue with him and his kin. That being said, perhaps it would do him good to get some outsider interaction, test his skills and theirs in turn.

And thus he tipped his head back and announced his presence, left the offer ringing in the air for those who wished to heed it.

"Speech"

After Ashen made the move Incubus found himself exploring the continent south of their home. Previously he hadn't much reason to venture this way but he felt it important to get a lay of the land. It seemed both continents were littered with packs and it'd be resourceful to personally know of their locations. He was no politician so there was no reason for him to approach any of them. But, he'd maintain a mental map of where these other kingdoms maintain their reign. As the inky male moved through the Boneyard a call moved through the air. The summons of battle. Lips flicked into a mischievous grin as he immediately rerouted his path and moved towards the source. Who was he to deny this stranger the opportunity to spar? Now that his tail was healed he'd be able to fight at his full potential for the first time in a while. Anticipation bubbled in his chest as he drew closer to his proposed opponent. The journey to the fighting ring was short and that pale gaze fell upon the sight of a black and orange beast. Two rows of inky horns laid on the stranger's forehead and he had a few inches on Incubus. But, the differences were minimal. What it'd come down to is skill. Which Inc had been working on but he knew there were some war torn behemoths in these lands, perhaps this was one of them. The spar would expose such. "Greetings, I am Incubus Klein." A polite nod was seen as he stopped walking, giving them about ten tail lengths of distance. "I am assuming it is you who requested an opponent?" Inc raised a brow as he ensured his weight was evenly distributed between his four legs. Speech

A Klein? Hattori couldn’t say he was surprised, there weren’t many in Auster ever since Fenmyre had disbanded but he knew the same couldn’t be said for Boreas. The stranger had a pretty standard look to him, black with splodges of albinism, notably different from the koi markings he was usually surrounded with. The scent that wafted from his form wasn’t familiar, more earthy and dry, lacking the sea tint he knew Ashen to have. So was he from another pack? He could only assume so.

”Indeed." He confirmed, accent thick. He believed this man could stand on equal ground and footing, that there was no reason to hold it back.  ”Let us keep this civil. A good chance to practice for us both.”

Knowing that there was no time like the present, he gave his opponent a moment to square himself and ready his position and footing, before the proverbial bell was tolled. The match to begin. He closed the distance with long strides, moving straight and direct as he approached, his intent quite obvious. Not the sort to beat around the bush or use misdirection. They both had horns and strong necks, so why not take this as a chance to joust, so to speak. He dipped his head as he charged in close, intending to initiate a struggle, to see who could force the other to step back or concede ground.

Incubus ensured his defensives were locked and loaded as the fight was to begin. There was no name given by his vibrant opponent, merely a suggestion to keep the fight civil. Incubus had no intentions of going beyond the unwritten boundaries of a spar. He was not here to maul someone's eye out but surely this stranger was merely ensuring they were on the same page. Couldn't fault him for that, he figured. With his now weight evenly distributed, ears flicked back, and scruff puffed out Inc was prepared for the initial assault. As the stranger charged his way Incubus kicked off and aimed to help close the distance between them. As Hanzo's head dipped down it was clear he was going for a jab with his horns. Instead of complying with this jousting attempt Incubus dug his paws into the ground, stopping his strides at the last minute, and aimed to jut out his shoulder towards his opponent's head. Inc hoped his opponent would have too much momentum to stop in time and that pretty koi cranium would come crashing into his boney shoulder. Hattori knew he wouldn't have time to change course, he was moving too fast and if he tried he realised he'd like lose his footing, have to skid and leave himself open for a follow through attack from his opposition. He knew headbutting a boney shoulder would not be pleasant, but at the very least his bones were thicker, sturdier than most and thus he swiftly concluded the impact would deal a blow to his opponent's bones just as it would to his own. They collided with a thud, enough to make his head throb a little but Hattori was eager to put the closeness that had been granted to him to use. Using the little difference between their full heights to his advantage, he raised his neck and with a flash of teeth made to grab for the scruff of his neck.

Inc's shoulder throbbed in result of his opponent's hard head crashing into it. A consequence the inky Klein was very well aware of when that decision had been made. There'd likely be a bruise left in the spot if not a welt. For the days to come he'd feel this spar. But, the Ashigaru was not one to cry over spilled milk and thus the fight went on. The stranger utilized the closeness of their battle and reached for a bite at Inc's scruff. With little time to react, the bite landed and Inc felt teeth poking at the thick skin of his hackles. With limited options Incubus decided to retaliate by kicked off the earth with his two front paws while aiming his horns at the stranger's strained neck. Due to the angle of his head he'd go for a snub with the rounded blunt side of his horns rather then a stab with the pointed tips. He was not here to puncture anyone's throat.
