Epimethius walked along the battlefield, today he explored the land before heading towards the center. Settling into the same exact spot he had been the past few times, shaking out his fur and taking a deep breath before letting his call ring out across the battlefield. A small growl followed it, he was eager. He would keep at this, coming every day or every few days until he believed he had improved. Until then he would keep up this little ritual. Come, call, get ready, wait, fight. The outcome did not matter as long as he felt himself growing stronger, he just wanted the experience and the lesson that battle came with. "Talk"

the call rang out, and zephyros knew who it had been. a solid and relentless one, zephyros grew to like their might and grit. perhaps they enjoyed the thrill as much as he did? he prowled by now, hanging around the arena before they called out for an opponent. eyes narrowed on the dog's form then, as zephyros approached from their far left side. ears swiveling, zeph greeted them with a single nod before sliding on his bracers and talons. after some moments of preparation and a stance, zephyros shot at the dog with force and fury. his arms flung forward, his metal talons aiming to scratch the other whilst aiming to grab their body. his fighting style was that of an aimless brawler, wanting to inflict any pain he could on his rivals. this was no exception as zephyros fought every fight with renewed enthusiasm and brimming excitement.

Honestly, at this point in time, Epimethius would have been more shocked by this brute not being the one to answer his call. He watched as his opponent readied himself. Epimethius appreciated the handy work of his bracers, someday he would need to get himself some stuff for battle. Soon the brute was taking off toward him again, this was the second time he had done this. And yet again, Epimethius would pivot away. Sliding his body left, the brute's claws and legs would meet the solid shoulder of Epimethius. Claws would draw blood as they slid down, this time he would not succeed in his hold on Epimethius. Yet. The dog, turned back, aiming to rush toward him in the small space they had. Seeking to connect their chests together, and then he would twist his head to the side. Aiming to bite and rip into the supple flesh above the man's left shoulder blade. it was a blur of a moment- his metal talons finding their closure as they raked across the skin of the dog. succession was sweet but short lived, as it simply wasn't enough. but his training was starting to show after all this time,- as zephyros once was focused on himself but now he watched the other's footwork. comprehending their sudden twirl when they sought to bite into his bulky shoulder. a snarl was earned as the heavy brute swiveled from the bite. zephyros then choosing to quickly finish it up with a duck down while angling his maw opened before rising up in attempt to bite their under chin.

The fights between him and Zephyros were quick, intense, and enjoyable. He enjoyed the feeling of the challenge, of the adrenaline rushing through his veins. He tucked his head as Zephyros went for his chin, keeping his throat and underside of his mouth away from the cruel grip of the beast before him. The sweet sting of pain came still, however, the teeth of his foe rapping against the top of his maw. Blood flowed down his muzzle, coaxing its way into his mouth. The copper taste did not anger him, the pain didn't either. It only excited the brute. Epimethius lunged forward, lowering his body as Zephyros rose. Seeking to dig his fangs into the front leg of the man, he would push forward whether his bite landed or not. Seeking to push the man over. He was excited to see how this ended, it did not matter to him who lost today, as long as they both left the battlefield satiated.
