Anthem truly was an innocent soul, Novella knew this of course, though occasionally it was easy to forget for a moment how the tiniest of problems could affect him. It was a wonder really that he had made it this far from home and seemed to be relatively comfortable here in Ludicael and yet something as simple as a fish could apparently bring back that brutal reminder that he was never truly ok. He was happy enough, lived a good life with the care they gave him, but he couldn't cope without it. Whilst she certainly wouldn't give up on him, she could only hope that the fish hadn't spooked him so much that he'd never try again. It truly had been a wonderful catch.

He calmed quick enough and Novella's hope, whilst she wouldn't truly believe it to happen till she saw it, became a little more realistic. Perhaps he'd try again, maybe not today but at some point. Without any other word he picked up the now still fish and began to tuck into his little meal. She smiled back at him, glad he was enjoying the food. "Want anymore? I can try again if you don't want to." She wouldn't eat anything till she was sure Anthem was happy enough, he had been the hungry one after all and whilst she was sure he'd patiently wait for her to eat before requesting another fish, she didn't mind letting him have his fill first.
