Bhaire and Odd simply could not agree. This was not a situation they had come across very often since their meeting. More often than not they were birds of a feather, pun intended. But now, as they sat at the mouth of a gaping cavern, they found themselves in the midst of a heated battle of words and wit. "You see better in the darkness than I. I need you with me." Odd scoffed. "S'just not right," he would say, stubborn. "Birds aren't bats, we fly under the moon and sun and those alone." It was Bhaire's turn to sigh. "We'll be in and out in the flick of a paw." "I don' like bats."

Bhaire rolled his eyes and walked over to the edge of the cavern entrance. A fallen log lay parallel to the trail, and he came to stand beside it. Odd, who was riding on his shoulders, took the hint and fluttered from his furry perch to a mossy one. "Wait here, then. And if I fall into a ravine and don't come back, you'll have to find another perch, won't you." Odd chuckled in his strange, clucking way, but did not care to respond, and instead began to preen. Bhaire chuckled at his friend, not wanting to push him, and turned back to the cavern entrance... Well, it is quite dark...

Lily found herself wandering the lands close to Ludicael territories. She was hesitant to go very far, despite her journey from old Tortuga to here...although it wasn't very far. She found that she hadn't been able to become as social as she had hoped, even in Tortuga with Taurig she had failed at trying to become social. Instead, she remained on her lonesome. Still fearful of approaching others, as was obvious when she had come to seek acceptance. So she wandered here to find a quiet place to think and figure out how she could try and integrate herself within pack life. But her past would keep her from doing so.

During her thoughts, she had failed to pay attention to her surroundings. Failed to realize that a scent unrecognizable was creeping towards her. It wasn't until a hiss behind her alerted her to the presence, and she whipped around to see a huge beast within the shadows of the trees. Eyes glinted through, and teeth snapped at her just inches from her bodice. With a frightened yelp, she bolted away, the creatures drumming paws right behind her. She had no idea what it was, but she was much too scared to stick around and find out. Her paws raced over the ground, tail tucked behind her. She saw a cave ahead of her, and through her fear she had not realized the figure standing near the entrance. She looked back to see what was chasing her, but the beast had disappeared.

Before Lily could slow or look ahead, she slammed into the other form. A quiet yelp swept past her jaws, eyes closed tightly as she tumbled to the ground in a heap of fur and tangled limbs.
