The eastern lands seemed unchanged save for a little. There was some debris lying about from the storm he guessed, but it was all over know. He wandered aimlessly, having forced himself to stay out of the beach cove for a couple days, an effort to get out into the sun and outside world more. So far, he was doing well...though he was on the skinny side, his depressions not allowing him to eat more then a few fish a day, and he had not hunted bigger game for at least a season or two. He had not the energy to do so, and his usual vibrance seemed to have disappeared over the course of time. He felt like a shell of his former self, unrecognizable he was sure to any that he had come across before, as well as to himself.

The youth stopped at the banks of the delta, moving to the very waterline and staring down at the ever moving water. He stared at his reflection, ears laid back slightly. Was that really him...? It had been so long since he looked at himself, unrecognizable even to his own eyes...what had life done to him?

Large paws would strike the terra with most of their former grace, the need to get away from the confines of the den driving her to the Kamui Delta and it's debris strewn waters. A familiar scent greeted her there, but she was not entirely sure it was real. The young boy who had shown affections for her beyond the realm of friendship, he has disappeared long ago. Was he back then? Moonstone orbs would flick across the scene, finally landing upon the familiar figure. A skinny frame was coated in dull, matted fur, and the young boy's frame showed signs of deep sorrows. Slowly she would approach, coming up on his left side and looking over at him with a gaze full of curiosity and sorrows of her own. "Drake? How have you fared as of late?" She would inquire, velveteen Russian tones soft and careful in their speech. Haunches would fall to rest upon the ground as her long tail curled around her powerful paws. Something was wrong, no wolf would allow something like that to happen to themselves without something traumatic and earth shattering having happened to them.

A sigh slipped through slightly parted lips, eyes dull as he stared at his former self. He felt different, he looked it anyway. He was so focused on what he saw before him that he did not scent the approach of one he had met before. It wasn't until her voice sounded, that his focus was shattered, replaced by a feeling unnamed. He wasn't sure if he wanted to turn around, but he did so anyway. And to his unhidden surprise, he laid eyes upon a woman he had met twice before. He never thought he would run into her again, not after he had opened up to her and tell her secrets of his past just to be left in the dust...again. Quickly he tried to regain his composure, trying to hide the hurt and pain behind dull lenses. Her question was brought forth. But what would he tell her? That he had hidden away from the world in a cove for over a season? As honest as he was, he would lie. He was sure his unkempt appearance was questionable, but he would think up a cover story for that if she asked. "Aurora...I didn't expect to run into ya' here...I've been farin' well..and yourself?" Australian lyrics lied. But she wouldn't know that...he played a facade, put on a play. He wouldn't let her know how much he was hurting...

His response was hesitant, almost fearful. Moonstone optics would absorb his condition with furrowed brows, listening to the obvious lie he spoke. She moved closer to him, placing a large paw upon his shoulder and looking deep into his dull, broken eyes with her own all seeing orbs. "I do not believe you, Drake. Has something gone wrong? May I be of help?" She asked quietly, her earnest desire to make him happy in her consuming pools of liquid mercury. His matted coat, bared ribs, they belied his fa?ade of contentment. Something was wrong, and she would do her best to make him feel better. When she and Magnus had been married, the man had disappeared completely, and it worried her. How would he react if she told him that her and Magnus had children now, awaiting her return at home with hungry mouths? It was most likely a better thing to do if she kept that from him until he could recover a little, for now she would be his friend and try to help.
