Restlessness Abundant

The recent Valhalla recruit had passed the length of their borders in a restless pace, he caught traces of the scent he sought and it played with his insides in a stranger and unusual sort of way. It danced across his mind in the colours of emotion and he fought to keep her from his mind. For the moment he decided he needed fresh air clean from the taint of her and he pulled out of the Valhalla borders to explore the ranges of the land Alacritis, that was still so new to him.
He didn't know how much time had passed as he walked in silence, until he found himself at the travellers lake and noticed the sun had begun to seat. It was a dark night, without the silver tint of the moon and instead he looked out at the lake under the hazy glow of the stars. There was something peaceful about lakes that drew him to them, their depths did not bother him as the depths of a cliff did, in stead he found a measure of peace as he sat by its shores, the tips of his paws touching the coolness of the water and sinking a little into the soft dirt and reeds beside it.
He found himself closing his eyes as he listened to the gentle motion of the water and soon, and finally, found himself drifting off as he slid his rump further along the grass until he was in a lying position, the coolness of the earth beneath, his head on his outstretched paws and well his muzzle did not touch the water his paws still hung lightly in its depths.
