She had come here to assist Song with her newly gained pack at the time, but since being ill and recovering the aging woman realized how much of an outcast she was to this place she used to call home. Just about everyone had been replaced by a new face, except for Song and Cherokee of course, and Haku, her mate. Aria would sigh, coming to a stop, she had been checking out the borders on this warm summer morning, thinking about the events that have happened in her life here in Alacritia. "So much change." She would breathe, lifting her head and closing her eyes to take in a long and deep breath. She just had one more stretch of border to check out before she would go rest for a bit. Perhaps she would seek out Haku and go for a small hunt. After a quick stretch the Divine Guard would set off once again, holding her head high with her gaze scanning the terrain and nose sniffing at the air for any loners nearby.

Satu

Satu was restlessly walking the border of Ludicael's territory. She told herself she was patrolling the border, and it really was less boring of a task if she imagined running into a rogue, fighting them off and sending them on their way, or discovering a raiding party, warning the pack and being a hero. But if she was really honest with herself, she was walking the border because her longing for adventure, for going out and exploring, seeking out new places and people and actually doing things, was warring with her deep-seated need to do her duty, stay with her pack and do the things that needed to be done even if they weren't very interesting.

Her recent conversation with Novella, where her younger cousin had told her about meeting Iorwerth, had only increased her restlessness. Knowing her brother was here, so close, made her feel like she needed to go find him. Talk to him, get to know him better. Maybe make up for the sharp disappointment she'd felt when she had first met again as adults - a disappointment that came about through no fault of his own, she had to admit, but simply because she'd created a fantasy brother in her mind that he in no way resembled. She hadn't seen Cirala since she'd first come here, either, and honestly now that she thought about it she was pretty worried about her.

A sigh huffed from her parted jaws. Well, she could either wallow in self-pity and whine about it, or go and do - wait, what was that? The sound of pawsteps had caught her attention, and Satu's heart pounded in excitement. A loner? An emissary from another pack? An enemy? But no, the scent that reached her nose a moment later was that of Ludicael, and Satu sighed again in mild disappointment. Well, it was an unfamiliar wolf anyway, and not one of her cousins or their numerous offspring, so at least that was new. Tail wagging behind her, the exuberant young wolf bounded forward to meet the oncoming wolf. "Hi!" she greeted brightly.

Aria would come to a complete stop when a light colored female bounded up to her with a bright hello, a brow raised and a look of confusion clear as day on her face. Nose would give a small sniff of the air sweeping towards her from the younger wolf's rush forward, identifying her as a fellow packmember. Aria would give a small sigh of relief at this, lips pulling back in a friendly grin as she gave a small nod in greeting to the woman. ?Hi there, I'm Aria.? She would speak in friendly tones, head tilting slightly to the side as her stump of a tail gave a wiggle. This shewolf seemed bubbly like she used to be, friendly, had a good heart. ?I don't believe we ave met since my return, and I'm guessing your one of Song's family?? She would question, curious as to how this woman was related to the Oracle, if she was in fact family.

Satu

The other wolf's greeting was friendly, the same reaction Satu was beginning to expect from wolves from this land. Someday she'd meet a wolf who responded to her bubbly overtures with rejection or even violence, but for now Satu remained willfully ignorant of the possibility. The woman introduced herself as Aria, and guessed that she was one of Song's family. Satu laughed. "How'd you guess?" she asked teasingly, her grin creasing the tell-tale marks beneath her eyes. "I'm her cousin, and no, I don't think we've met. My name's Satu. I'm just patrolling the border, and uhm, checking scent markers and stuff." She didn't know why she felt the need to tell this wolf all that last bit, but the thought of a packmate assuming she was just out here lazing around instead of doing her duty made her feel a little anxious.

She would give a small shrug at the woman's response, a smile on her face. She was very friendly, and reminded her of herself when she was younger, unlike now. Aria really missed it, but then again, people changed, you couldn't stay the same forever. The female's name was Satu and was definitely related to Song, a cousin. She was patrolling the border and checking scent markers. For once the older woman was finding herself unable to connect with Satu, her socializing skills dropping very low. "Anything out of the ordinary on your run?" She would ask curiously, motioning the woman to join her to check out the last border for today.

Satu

Aria seemed to just accept it, asking her if there had been anything unusual and gesturing for Satu to fall in with her. Satu obediently did so, though she made a face at her question. "No, it's been really quiet. I guess as hot as it is out nothing's really doing a whole lot of anything interesting." She huffed out a sigh bordering between frustrated and bored, shrugging as she did so. "I mean, I don't want anything bad to happen of course, but something interesting would be nice." She was just bored of the endless round of hunting for the new mothers and patrolling a quiet border, hunting and patrolling. The only adventures she'd been having were purely imaginary.

Satu informed the woman that the borders had been quiet, the heat most likely playing a roll in it since it was too hot to pretty much do anything besides hunt when you were hungry then lay in the shade the rest of the day. It was a very tempting thing to do herself, but Aria had duties she had to perform, had to endure the heat. Green gaze would leave the area though to look at the woman when she huffed, voicing how she wanted something exciting to happen but nothing bad. Aria definitely knew the feeling, sometimes she found the lands to be a bit boring but a the same time didn't want anything bad to stir the place up. Perhaps they could help each other out with that, make something of these slow days. ?Say Satu... perhaps we could think of something to make the day go by faster or at least better?? She would smile at the female, stepping up onto a small boulder with her stump of a tail wiggling behind her. The Divine Guard was aging, this she knew but at the same time she wouldn't give in and become an old hag, she still wanted to remain active.
