Kyung knew something was wrong even before he opened his eyes. He was cold for one, curled up upon himself and shivering despite the warmth his den should have provided him. On top of that he could smell the metallic tang of blood mixed with the acrid stench of sickness. That could not be good. He slowly lifted his eyelids. They felt heavy and sticky and as they fully opened he got a glimpse of why the den smelt of blood. Little pools of the red liquid dotted the floor of the den, droplets continuing to fall from an unknown source. His paws were shaking as for a moment the boy watched the pools in confusion, then with a mounting sense of dread he began to piece it together. Lifting his right forepaw and dropping his head at the same time Kyung swiped his eyes across his foreleg, pulling back to see the fur there matted with blood.

The panic truly set in then, the boy stumbled to his quaking paws and out of the den, gaze flitting about frantically for anyone who could help him. What an image he made, fur along his torso matted by sweat despite the chill he felt. Ebony gaze flying about while blood seeped out from their sockets, matting his midnight face red; yes he must have truly looked like hell.

For the first time in a long time Kyung called out for his brother, for his mother, for Irune. Then he finally called out for the only wolf he knew that could help him. "Eris!" His call was equal parts desperation and panic. He would wait, the shaking in his legs becoming dangerously stronger.

Panic would strike him. The boy running full pelt towards the borders of the ebony boy. He had remained nearby, though indecisive as to where he wanted to go. His mind showed him a dream, no. A nightmare. Full of blood and curdled screams. What it meant he did not know, but he would suddenly grow worried for the boy he had come to adore. He ran as fast as he could, paws digging into the snow as Winter had finally set in, coating everything in fresh powder. Heart hammered against his chest, and it was as he neared the borders he would hear a single voice crying out for names unknown to him. Ears flattened to his skull, and though he knew it might possibly be dangerous to pass the border line without the ebony boy, he would not simply stand there and wait for someone to come by. He would cross, paws churning the snow as he pin pointed Kyung's lone cries. Echo was a tracker, and it always served him well in dire situations.

Breath would grow ragged from the running, though it was mostly due to the fact he was not used to the mountain air. And yet, he would not stop until a choking stench would reach him. Stopping in his tracks, he would scent the air. Yes, the scent of blood was thick and heavy...sickness hung in the air like a plague, and his fear grew evermore. He knew not where Kyung was, though he only needed to follow his nose to the underlying scent of the pitch black boy. The closer he got, the more he could taste the sickness overpowering the scent of the other boy. Amber eyes sought the dark form, standing outside of the den he assumed belonged to him. Without second thought he would rush towards him, closing the distance as he looked at him with panic in his eyes. "K-Kyung? What happened to you?!" It was obvious, that not even the ebony boy would know. However, Echo would remain by his side and try to figure out what was going on. His better judgment told him not to get close to the black male, but he would cast that aside and do what his heart told him. He would draw close, body pressing against Kyung for comfort, if only to soothe the other male to some degree until help arrived.

Winter had set in, and the healer was again glad for the warmth that her den provided. That warmth alone meant that she should still be asleep, but she had awoken to a feeling in her gut- a feeling that something was wrong. She heard a call, a sound calling for wolves who had since departed Glaciem. Then a call for her. Pushing herself to her feet, she shook herself, before squeezing from the corners her den. Rushing out, she paused in the opening, looking around her. Heading towards the source of the sound, the healer put on what speed she had- rushing through the pines towards the caller.

A strange scent bombarded her as she approached, but she didn't have time to worry about a rouge. Something was terribly wrong. Finally, she came into view of Kyung, and was met with a shock. Blood had matted his face, and even as she approached she realized that he had been taken over with fever. Slowing at his side, she noted his trembling legs- "Kyung. Have you eaten anything new? Any new berries or plants?" Whatever was ailing the boy appeared to be similar to a poison though she couldn't name it, and she worried that he had consumed something that was causing this illness. Off the top of her head, she couldn't think of ever seeing an illness in this magnitude- but if it was a poison, perhaps this would be the effects? "Quickly, get inside your den. You need to stay warm." She order calmly, yet briskly. Her tail flicked about her, and she glanced at the strange brown male. "Help me get him inside." She had no choice but to ask for help, this stranger was obviously not a danger- otherwise he would have attacked him by now.

The first to arrive was not Eris but instead Echo, the brown boy whom he had met not that long ago and who even now he cared for. A part of him wanted to scream at him to stay away, and he wanted to hide himself away. Echo should not see him this way. He could do more than whine pitifully though. His stomach was roiling and he wasn't about to open his mouth to speak and tempt fate. Instead he shook his head at Echo's question, fixing him with a pathetic stare. The other boy pressed into him.

Just then Eris would show up, and Kyung would sway slightly, finding his balance was failing him. The healer would question him and he would weakly shake his head. "No I-" He would clamp his mouth shut feeling the bile rising up in his throat. The world was starting to spin as Eris continued to speak but she sounded as though she was in a tunnel, distant and with a slight echo. Kyung would lift a single leg to turn around when he found his body stopped responding. He was freezing, legs and torso beginning to shake with renewed vigor and he couldn't move. Strained but uncontrollable whines pushed their ways out of his lungs and he felt himself start to go over, no longer able to support his own weight. The boy was seizing.
