"Go and Wander." Said my heart.

...and so I would wander.
The female would give a sigh, moving along at a slow pace. She kept, every so often, scenting the air for the silver male... Kept checking to see if ANY male was following her at this point. The other male she met at Mount Volkan... She still felt uncertain of him. The femme was debating about possibly joining a pack... Seeking assistance that way... Though her heart was against it. Even if she felt she could not return to ?owyn and Birch right now she didn?t want to actually pledge her loyalty to some other alpha. ?o and Birch, as well as their children, were as close to family as she had here in Alacritia. She was still loyal to them... Just uncertain if that male might come around Fontamo Bay looking for her again. No... For now she had to keep on the move... Even if it wasn?t so good considering her condition.

Short rests, longer only to sleep, and hunting small game was all she had been able to do. She had taken, her heat scent having faded as the season turned to winter. She worried what would become of the pups that now grew inside of her belly... If any of them would be able to survive the winter. The season was harsh... She was without her herbs... Without the aid of another wolf to help her defend the den and watch over the little ones when she needed to hunt... Or to hunt for her when she got too heavily pregnant to hunt at all. A deep sigh would leave her maw.

Some herbs seemed to have once grown here... But the frost and dusting of snow that had fallen seemed to have killed most of them off. A deep sigh would leave her as she pressed on. There were a couple scents here, other loners she presumed... And older scents... A former packland. But the border scents were stale. It had been abandoned or the territories changed when a new alpha took over. All the same it wasn?t her concern... She needed to find somewhere to rest a while... And then press on again. Weary paws would lead her to a large tree, rotting at the bottom and part of it already dug out by some creature or another. The small female would squeeze her way inside, laying down on the earth. Teal-green eyes would gaze outward at the world for a moment, taking a few sniffs of the air to assure herself nothing was around before closing them, though her ears were still perked to catch the sound of any strangers that dared to near.

"Speech"
"Settle down." Said my heart.

...and so here it was I would settle down.

The restlessness was driving the dame crazy, even more so now that this strange sickness had wandered into their land. Scorpion had developed the symptoms and they had to keep apart, which was very difficult for her. She had no one to lean on, no one to comfort her as her belly began to swell. Huffing the dame stepped past the boundaries of Covari, there was no one that she cared about to stop her. Othello didn't even want to join the pack, but she would do anything for the father of her pups. So past the Range she wandered, her swollen belly making her move at a slower pace. She wasn't too awfully far along, heck she still didn't get the for sure from anyone. She knew though, a mother always knew.

The dame saw a nice tree with a hollow under, and a smile came upon her face. That would be a nice place to hunker down, away from the bustle of the pack. There was too much noise and too many faces, she just wanted room to breath and to just be alone. She was also nervous about the sickness passing on to her little ones, so maybe it was best that she strayed away from Covari for awhile. Sighing softly, she trotted slowly over to the hollowed tree, when the scent hit her. Freezing, she tossed her ebony nose into the air and sniffed, making sure that it was just not her own scent that she had picked up. No... it wasn't hers at all. It was in fact another dame, her scent telling her that she too had little ones within her womb. Othello wasn't usually one to walk up and greet strangers, at all, but she was intrigued. Maybe they could protect each other?

"Hello?" She called softly, leaning her head down to peek into the hole in the tree. A small smile adorned her ivory face, a calm demeanor in her lavender eyes. Her long tail swung behind her, her curls stirring up the soft coating of snow that lay there. "I won't harm you, promise. It seems to me like we are in the same boat, you and I." She said with a hearty chuckle, backing up so that if the dame were to come out that she would have more than enough room to get out. No need to make her feel like she was blocking her in or anything.

"Go and Wander." Said my heart.

...and so I would wander.
Someone... Was approaching. Immediately Ellis pressed deeper into the hollowed tree... It was large one but... That just gave the intruder, providing they were small enough to push under the small gap that lead inside, room to get inside. What if it was the silver male? Her teal-green eyes would widen, fear gripping her. She could feel her heart start to pound, the beats seeming to get louder and louder with each pawstep that neared the den. Why... Oh why? She would think to herself, shuddering.

But... When a voice called it was not that of the male, nor of a male at all. It was the voice of another femme, head lowering to look down inside. Ellis would look up, the tension in her body easing some. She had never been more happy to see another femme in her whole life. She would sniff, trying to catch the scent on her. There was some sort of pack scent... But... She wasn?t sure if this female was indeed in a pack. She would speak again, and Ellis would perk her ears up. Same boat...? Come to think of it... She sniffed again. The other femme was definitely pregnant as well.

She would come out of her hiding place, teal-green eyes settling on the female for a moment, scenting the air around them. No one else. She would completely relax then, giving a nod. ?It seems so... Sorry... I thought you might have been someone else.? She would smile gently at the other female. ?Are you not with a pack...?? The question was gently asked. Who knew what this other femme favored?

The small dame pulled herself out from under the hollow, and Othello stepped back to allow her some room to breathe. Even though she had many swinging moods with this pregnancy, she found that she had a soft spot for other females, even more so those who seemed to be experiencing what she was. To relay messages and to share secrets, this is what she wanted. The dame seemed to be nervous about others being about, and she sat upon her rump as the girl relaxed. "No need to worry love, we are far enough away from the pack lands that they should not bother us. Plus, we are big strong gals, we can fight them off." She teased, winking at the dame before her.

Othello's elongated tail curled around her rump and came to rest on her paws, blocking out most of the chilly wind that nipped at her toes. The one nice thing about carrying in this season was that her big belly provided her with a little more heat. She was perfectly comfortable in the winter snow. The dame spoke, telling her that she did indeed think she was someone else. Was she hiding from another? The pale female kept her wonderings to herself, thinking it to be rude to ask her who she thought she was. Then the question came, asking her if she belonged to the pack. Now that was a rather hard one to answer... "Sorta..." She said, her eyes rolling at the thought of the pack. She hated large groups with a passion, and tried to stay out of the way as much as possible. "The wolf that I am with in there, so I stay with him along the boarder of the pack. I'm not too keen on groups." She admitted, shrugging her shoulders to this stranger.

Violet eyes met teal ones as she realized that introductions had not been made. "I'm Othello by the way, nice to run into someone who shares my condition." She said with a soft laugh. She did not push for the dames name, she seemed skittish in nature and Othello wanted her to be comfortable around her.

"Go and Wander." Said my heart.

...and so I would wander.
Far enough away that they shouldn?t be bothered... Sounded good enough she supposed. Though her next question, though said more lightheartedly, teasingly, made Ellis uncomfortable. The small healer would lowered her gaze. She was small and petite... She couldn?t fight... Not that she knew how. That was part of what got her in her current condition in the first place. ?I?m not so sure about that...? Her words were rather quiet as she said this. The other would answer her question then, explaining why her coat held the slight scent of that pack.

?Ah... That makes sense.? There was a pang in her heart as she thought of her friends, her adoptive family at the bay. Were they still there? Safe? She didn?t mind groups but... She was staying away to try and protect them. She had to do whatever she could to ensure that fact. The other femme would give her name then, and Ellis would give a small nod, teal-green eyes shining with a bit more ease.

?My name is Ellis Cathal. It?s nice for me as well, though for a different reason.? The healer would lift her head, scenting the air a couple times before turning her head back to Othello. ?I do not mind the company... Though if a silver male, black mask and silver eyes comes around... You should get away as fast as you can. His manner of speaking is... Odd... He says that he is one of the divine...? There was obvious fear in her gaze, edging her voice as she spoke of him. She was unsure of what this male would do if he found them... To either of them. But she did not want someone else to be a victim... Not like her.

"Settle down." Said my heart.
