Magnus had only briefly returned to the place he had called home once. He needed to ask to leave, officially. Of course he had not been around at all, but he had betrayed this pack. And it was time to move on. This place only reminded him of the sorrow and heartache. Australis and Zlata were old enough now to be left. He had barely been a father to then anyways. This was it, there was no one left here for him. Aurora was dead, his children hated him Song was gone and he was sick of the place. Sick of the shattered memories of happiness. This was no home. It was a torture chamber. He tipped his head back and released a howl, summoning the new leader of the pack. To tell them that he was going. Australis and Zlata could think that he was dead, it was for the best.

Given the pale man's absence from the pack, Dutiron had yet to actually meet Magnus. A missing, mystery member that he hadn't been aware existed however certainly hadn't been on the top of his priorities though given the worries that the recent epidemic had brought. Now though he would be made aware of the man's existence for the first time and curiously would head towards the sound to investigate.

The howl alone hadn't quite been enough to tell him this was a troubled man but the even fact that someone was leaving that he couldn't actually identify had Dutiron a little worried. How had he missed this man? He would arrive to a fairly sorry state, the missing leg wasn't really the problem though that was certainly obvious something was bothering this man but what Dutiron sadly had no idea. "If you truly wish to say goodbye I suppose we ought to at least say hello first. I'm afraid I don't believe we have met before. I am Dutiron, one of the Authors." He wished to leave the ranks aside for now but he had to confirm for Magnus that he was one of the leaders that had been summoned.

OOC: quick, crappy post

When the man came into his view Magnus almost sagged in relief, now all he had to do was hope that Durition would let him leave with no hassle. The words flowed from his mouth and Magnus listened, judging by just those words he seemed not to be too annoyed at the fact that Magnus was leaving. But he couldn't tell. I am Magnus Bane, I apologise for the lack of my presence, I have failed this pack just as I have failed my family. he said the words firmly. wanting the man to feel no sympathy for him as it was his fault his family had been torn apart, Zlata had gone missing and Aurora had died. It was all his fault, and he had been too consumed in his grief to think about the pack. I used to think of this place as a home, a place of sanctuary and happiness, but now it is a constant reminder of what I have lost, a cruel eternal torment. I cannot stay here and see the betrayal in my children's eyes. he looked to the man, hoping that he would understand. This was a shell of what it once was. And he was a shell of the man he once was.

If the man truly wished to leave then Dutiron certainly wouldn't force the stranger to stay unwillingly though he would wish the other to reconsider. The introductions would be put aside and Dutiron would begin to learn the first details about the white male before him. Magnus as his name was apparently had family here meaning there were more wolves that he had yet to actually meet it seemed a fact that troubled the Author even further.

"My relationship with my first litter is somewhat strained, I can certainly see where you're coming from." He wasn't treated as harshly as Novel was though there were still some issues. Of course he didn't understand the full extent of Magnus' troubles, but he wouldn't allow the man to leave without firstly trying to prove that he could still have a home in Ludicael. "Surely it'd be better to attempt to repair things than simply abandon them? I won't force you to stay, but perhaps you should still consider it an option." Of course he knew not what the other man had done but the fact he'd been allowed to live in his daughter's pack and felt so guilty now led Dutiron to believe he wasn't entirely bad.

Magnus listened to the man. But be shook his head, his relationship with his family was more than strained, it was irreparable. He had destroyed the bonds that he had with his family, he could see the loathing and hatred that bubbled in Australis's eyes. And sweet innocent Zlata, he wouldn't be able to cope with the hurt looks she would give him. "They hate me, they lost their mother thanks to me and I abandoned them when they needed me the most. I was more concerned by my own traumas than theirs. I failed them as a father. It would bring them more peace if i left. Therefore I must ask your permission to leave and move on. The wife I had is gone, i have no attachments to my children other than the fact that i am their father and this place serves as a constant reminder of that. I must leave." He looked at the Author, hoping for the best.

Dutiron certainly didn't think he could ever do something bad enough that he wished to abandon his family forever there was still a part of him doubting or perhaps simply hoping that Magnus did in fact stand a chance at repairing his relationship with his children. As he'd already stated however he couldn't and wouldn't force the man to stay and it sadly seemed that no matter what advice he gave this man would stick to his plan to leave.

"I still suggest you try to build an actual relationship with your children." Dutiron once more tried to share his advice. "Family is the most important thing to me and I've seen families that have torn apart and then repaired themselves." His voice was serious as he spoke now, a final attempt to get through to him. "It saddens me that you would rather leave than attempt to fix anything but as I have already said I won't force you to stay. If you wish to then you may leave now." This decision would greatly affect Dutiron's view on the man.
