Harmony first then Bass? <3

The journey was far from long, and yet he felt exhausted all the same -- having wandered for so many weeks was taking a toll on him, and suddenly he realized just how tired he felt. Quintus wondered if this was a good idea at all, remembering that Valhalla hadn't been all he had hoped for. It had been a good pack and all, but as far as socializing.. it just hadn't really happened. He'd been lonely there, and didn't know why this pack might be any different. Perhaps he would find a sibling here... though he knew this was just wishful thinking more than anything.

His mind was preoccupied as they went, and when the scent of a pack grew strong, he slowed his gait. Maybe he should just hang around near these lands for awhile? Either way, it would seem strange to simply lurk, and Harmony seemed to think him joining might be a good idea. He would follow alongside her, stoic and wondering. She had said Abaven would be small. Hopefully not too small for comfort... but he figured only time would tell. He would glance to Harmony, figuring she out to be the one who ought to call whoever the leader here was, at a loss for what to say. "Anything I should know before we meet whoever might come?" he asked with a soft laugh, not nervous, simply curious.

Just a hop, a skip, and a jump away was the traveling duo from the Abaven lands. The mocha capped tempest had led the way, and it seemed the man following her was tired from the journey when they had arrived. She only would gave a warm smile and gently lick the boy on the shoulder, rather unintentionally, before she would withdraw, a bit embarassed. 'I shouldn't have...' She mouthed the lyrics, but no sound came from her inky lips. Veldt auditories would pin to her skull for a brief moment before she would hear the sound of the male's voice, giving a small nod. "Well... I wouldn't be rude or smart-mouthed. Just be... like the gentleman you are." She would have said more tips if she had any within the reach of her paws, before she would throw her head back and howl, a lovely song for all to hear, but the summons being for the Azat of the pride, Bass.

"Just introduce yourself, and I will explain to the Azat why you're here, Quinty." She would whisper, just in case Bass had already arrived before she could speak, but hopefully he would not. Quietly, the mocha capped tempest would recline onto her haunches, and wait. "Speech"

When his sisters call rang out for him, the brutes pale ears pricked forward. There was no clue to the meaning of her howl, just a summons. But what did she need of him that she could not simply come and fund him at his den? With a shrug of his broad shoulders he walked in the direction of her call, breaking into an easy lope. He wasn't too concerned about it, more intrigued than anything else. The whole meaning of this eluded him, and he was not prepared for what awaited him at his border.

Once he neared the rapids, a strange scent mixed in with Harmony's. A sudden panic flitted though him, and he worried that he had been wrong to not rush his approach. However, no blood was scented, just simply a stranger. What he really didn't like was the fact that the smell spoke of a male. Bass would certainly be happy if his siblings died old maids, he didn't need nieces and nephews anyways. He saw the strangers face, sitting beside his mixed hued sister. A growl built in his throats, his hackles prickling along his spine. With a narrowed golden gaze he took in the scene. "What's going on here Harmony?" he asked, trying to keep his voice neutral. This male could very well wish to join, he just wasn't all too thrilled that his sister seemed to have gone out and collected him.

Sighing softly, he finally turned his gaze to the stranger, forcing a polite smile onto his black lippids. "If my sister had not already told you, I am Bass Destruction. Who might you be and what is your business with Abaven?" He asked, his voice calm. In his mind the wheels were turning, wanting to snap but he didn't. 'What is your business with my sister?' He thought, although not another word was uttered. His hackles calmed, although his eyes remained hooded as he surveyed the stranger.

Harmony's advice was simple, but quite doable. He nodded his head slowly, watching as she tipped back her head to let out a call for the leader -- whoever it might be.

The man was quick to respond to the call, a creature who looked very similar to Harmony. Were they related, he wondered? Sea-green gaze was unreadable as he watched Bass approach, having finally reclined to his haunches, waiting as patiently as he was capable. The male's reaction was a strong one, and he wondered why he was so defensive. Perhaps this man was her brother? He felt a bubbling of irritation grow inside his chest, but he was able to control himself, sitting and waiting silently. "Bass Destruction," he noted his title with a dip of his head. "I am Quintus Nero Adravendi-Mathias."

Man, this one was testy; he forced a smile onto his features, but found his lips twitching even still. "She brought me here. Said Abaven might be a good pack for me." Maybe that wasn't perfectly true -- it seemed she had wanted to spend time with him more than anything, but he figured it sounded alright either way. "So here I am."

ooc. Yay, shitty post. I was really distracted while writing this. xP

To her call, would come the pale beast, which her heart sang for. What disappointed her, was that he instantly began to flare up, dominance reeling off the pale beast in waves. The mocha cloaked tempest would give a small whine, pleading for him to relax whilst the golden colored boy spoke, of his name and greetings. Her own voice would chime in, sing-song and soothing. "Quintus is here because he wants to join our pack." Her mismatched gaze shifted back to the golden boy for a brief moment before she would speak once more. "He did not tell me what rank he wanted, yet, but he would make a good member of Abaven, brother." With her words, the shaman would saunter forth, gently licking her brother's hackles, hopefully smoothing them down a bit, and calming the brute. He has to accept Quintus. He would be a great asset to the Abaven pack.

His ears perked at his name, picking out the last name Adravendi. He knew that name... but from where? His brows kitted together as he pondered, trying to race through all the names that piled in his mind. He couldn't place it on just one wolf, but he knew the last name for sure. He didn't say anything though, merely grumbling when Harmony licked his raised hackles. He allowed them to settle, his golden gaze locked on the boy. "Here you are indeed, Quintus. And now that you are here on my borders, what is it that you indent to do?" He posed, his head tilting to the side. Harmony could say all she wanted about his wished to join Abaven, it needed to come from his mouth. He was no longer angry at this situation, but he was going to have a talk to Harmony later. She was for sure getting a guard assigned to her, that was for sure.

Bass awaited the brutes reply, forcing himself to sit upon his haunches as he awaited Quintus' answer. He did not move his gaze from the bi-coloured man, but kept those yellow eyes locked on him. Although his extiror was still calm, inside his mind and raging. How did these two meet? Did Harmony stumble into his trap, or did his sleek sister pose such a question to him? It was all unknown to him right now, and that fact was driving him mental. He wanted to know everything, and he wanted to know it now.

He marveled at the slight confidence Bass emanated, for seemingly no reason. Harmony had admitted that Abaven was a small pack; had this man fought for these lands, or had he simply claimed them verbally and had been fortunate enough to have no challengers for his throne yet? He shook his head slowly. If someone as steadfast and determined as Erani could fall, he had no doubt this one could too -- but that was an opinion he would keep to himself. Expressing doubt in his leadership would do no good, especially right now.

Harmony seemed skilled at relaxing the man that he was almost certain was her brother, and he watched silently as Bass lowered his defenses. "I was hoping to join," he explained bluntly. Had he not gathered that already? "If you'll have me." He was not particularly driven -- but he figured that was because he'd never really found anything worth fighting for, worth working toward. He'd been comfortable on the sidelines in Valhalla, but here, in a new place with unfamiliar wolves... things might be different. "I'd probably be interested in training to defend and fight, if anything." He didn't know how Bass ran his pack, but surely he needed those willing to fight? He wasn't overly familiar with things of the sort, but figured he could learn nonetheless. His demeanor was relaxed, overly so, making him seem guarded in a way -- when in reality he just didn't know what to say, and didn't want to further aggravate the already-frustrated Bass.

Her licks had indeed soothed her kin just enough for him to remove his imposing stature from the sights of the Adravendi next to her. The pale beast inquired of his meaning of being in the Abaven lands, but wasn't it already too obvious? The man's voice rang out. washing over her ears, speaking of an answer to his question, vocals reverberating in her chest. Her mismatched gaze turned to the pale beast of her brother as she would speak, her own vocals smooth. "Quintus would make a brilliant guard. He could prove his worth, like any other wolf who has joined Abaven lands is expected to." She wasn't speaking in a voice that pleaded, but one that was of a simple request. Even if the pale beast did not approve of this boy joining, he could still stay on the edges of the borders: hopefully not being mistaken by one of the allies of Abaven as a threat.

He didn't like the fact that his sister had dragged a boy home, but he was in need of able fighters. Sighing, he closed his golden eyes as he tried to maintain his composure. He wasn't acting for the better of the pack, he was making bad choices because it involved his sister. Bass knew that it would be a problem, having his family here. He needed to learn to be an alpha first, brother second. Once he had fully calmed himself he opened his eyes and settled his gaze on the bi colored boy. "Welcome to Abaven, Quintus. For now you will be a Mruni until you prove you capabilities by sparing or training, although both is suggested. You may make your den where you please." 'Just away from Harmony' He added in his head. For now his sisters words were not addressed, but he flicked her flank with his tail to let her know that he had heard her at least. He then awaited the newest member of Abaven to speak, if he even was going to say anything.

Quintus watched as Bass's nerves slowly ebbed away, fading like ice might thaw beneath the spring sun. It seemed that Abaven's leader had simply been given respect by his peers, rather than rightfully earning it -- though the yearling would not fault him for that, for he had never earned much of anything himself. Still his sea-green gazed watched at the reactions Bass displayed plainly on his features, chuckling only in his head for how frustrated he seemed at the fact that his sister had brought someone home. It wasn't like they'd done anything at all, although she'd made some kind of flirtatious gesture toward him. Of course, this was unfamiliar territory to him, and he had next to zero idea of how to proceed -- if at all.

"Thanks," he said simply, his voice genuine, though his manner of speaking was lax as usual. "I'll do that." He'd have to train, or try to spar, or something like that... he had no clue how he'd fare in such things, but he figured he ought to learn some kind of skill, since he was growing confident that he couldn't depend on anyone but himself.

He was less concerned about where he would make his den; perhaps Harmony would assist him? He offered a nod to Bass, truly thankful for letting him into his pack, though in his mind he wondered if this would be his home for long at all. Time seemed so fleeting, life so apt to destructive change -- he didn't expect stability here, even if it seemed like Abaven was promising. "Perhaps Harmony could help familiarize me with the lands?" he suggested idly, shrugging, as though it didn't matter either way. "Unless she has something else to do."

Quintus had been accepted into Abaven as a Mruni, and the mocha capped girl was grateful. The russet masked boy spoke once more, the mocha cloaked girl's ears rising at the mention of her name. "I could, Quintus. I don't have much to do as of right now." Her voice was shy, full of honesty. Where would the man choose his den to be? By the rapids or in the plains of serpents. So many questions, and so few answers could be asked. One stuck like a sore thumb above all others?Would he have affections for her such as she had for him?
