The fresh life of spring was beginning to appear. Kitsune walked carefully over the rolling plains, silver eyes locked on the thawing grasses. She knew the name of this land. She knew what serpents could hide here, ready to strike at any moment. But winter was not yet gone. Hopefully the devils would still be sleeping in their dens.

The sudden flashes of green were startling as they popped through the snow. Tiny buds were growing on the tree branches. The woman took a deep breath of the air around her, hoping to catch an early trace of spring. The smells of grass, of flowers, and of sunshine... This was her favorite time of the year. But she also inhaled for another reason. She was following the scent of Dart.

Her small black nose would sift along the ground, tracking his most recent visit to this place. The trails were all very close together, probably meaning that he had taken rest here permanently. But her nose also told her that there was a line of boundary nearby, one she was careful not to cross. Had Dart decided to join this new pack? Kitsune was even more wary as these thoughts entered her mind. Packs meant wolves. And this maiden rarely trusted wolves.

Still, she took in a shaky breath and let out a series of soft yips, hoping the handsome boy would hear. And when he did hear, she hoped he would come running, for they had only met once but already she felt a connection. Did he feel it too? Could something so beautiful ever be real?

His time so far in the pack hadn't been all too great. He was avoiding others, the only one he had really talked to was the alpha and yet he felt as if he was an outcast within a pack he had willingly joined. No matter, he would take his self elsewhere for now, to simmer down and think on what he wanted to do. His thoughts would take him on a walk through the plains, the boy careful and aware of his surroundings for the sake of not getting bit by a venomous serpent. It was beyond him why a pack would choose a location such as this, but he supposed it was all up to personal preference. Crimson eyes searched the ground, perhaps going on a hunt would quell his ever changing mind. Swiftly, he would bound through the lands, climbing on the boulders to gain leverage over his surroundings, and as a breeze rolled by him a scent so pure, so familiar would cross him over. Almost immediately, his heart would pound in excitement, Kitsune!

Eagerly, he climbed down the boulders and raced towards her scent. Soon, the soft calls of the beautiful silver maiden reaching his large ears, excitement coursing through his veins, and even more so when he saw her in the near distance. His smile would grow, tail nearly wagging as he approach her, crossing the borders to stand before her. "Kitsune! You found me, boy am I glad to see you!" He would laugh a little, the male closing the gap to nuzzle her slender muzzle. The feeling of touching her was electric, his heart jumping. Was that the wrong move? No, of course not. There was something definitely there since the first time they had met, that he would not deny. He stood back a little bit, giving her space if she so desired, although he wouldn't object if she chose to remain close. He would keep that a secret to himself, for he felt like a kid being in her presence. She was so perfect, so beautiful, so pure. "How are you, Kitsune?" He would inquire, wondering what she had been up as of late. He felt bad for leaving the last time they had met, but she had never left his thoughts for a second.

The silver maiden watched with excitement as a streak of orange started moving through the prairie. He hopped from boulder to boulder, examining the ground below, and she couldn't help but stare as she admired his grace. She was graceful too, of course, perhaps more than he. But it was still a beautiful thing to observe. Just then he stopped moving, nose and ears twitching as her scent washed over him and her yips were heard. The huge smile that overtook him as he bounded toward her was enough to flood her cheeks with heat. Her heart galloped in her chest as he closed the distance, an identical smile pulling at her lips. Soon Dart was upon her, and the first thing he did was nuzzle her in greeting. Kitsune couldn't help but gasp. When the two had first met, they had acted so innocent, as if simple touch was sin. But everything was so electric between them, surely he had to feel it too. Without thinking first, the fair maiden reached out and placed a small kiss upon his cheek. Then they both seemed to back away, pulses racing.

Whatever was happening her, she loved it already. Every moment with Dart was so new and exciting. The way he looked at her made her feel so beautiful and good. And the way she stared at him, brilliant eyes sparkling in the sunlight... she had no idea how that made him feel. But Kitsune had to hope that the feelings were somewhat mutual. She grinned again in the awkward silence that followed, addressing the words he had shared with her. "I am so happy to see you, Dart, and I know it seems strange but I missed you so much..." With a quiet giggle the woman dared to close the distance again, pressing her chest to his as she embraced him. Her face was tucked comfortably into the downy fur of his neck, and she sighed. "I'm great," she replied. "How are you?"
