Life we very different for Frith now that he was living in a pack, with his pregnant mate. He'd never expected to have a family s quickly, but he wouldn't regret a single decision made thus far. Novella was perfect, she was beautiful ridiculously smart, and sweeter than the ripest of fruits. He was incredibly lucky to be able to call her his own, and he had no intentions of blowing such an opportunity. Novel and Dutiron gave him a chance to prove that he could take care of their daughter and their future grand children. Frith couldn't get over that such an amazing woman would choose him to be her mate. The slightly odd loner that just so happened to need a place to stay for the night..
He hadn't been with her for very long, but already they had memories that he would carry with him for the rest of his life. Especially their wedding, it was only a few days past but there had been a good amount of commotion following. He felt like he had spent little alone time with the one he now called his wife. He hoped that they would be able to sneak into their crystal cavern today, but first he had to find the pale she wolf.

Novella wasn't a wolf that pushed herself overly hard anyway but as of late she was certainly taking things a little easier than normal. Though she was coming to terms a little more with the idea of children, the excitement starting to settle in as she took her mother's advice, there was no denying how nervous she felt about it all still. She'd forced herself to become rather more aware of herself and her surroundings, taking life rather carefully as she did her best to ensure that both she and more importantly the growing children in her womb were well.

Her mother's birth had certainly brought up worries once again for her, though she had survived and given birth to three healthy children, Novella was certainly somewhat paranoid these days about her pregnancy and own eventual labour. The girl hadn't yet been witness to a smooth birth, Song, Symphony had both had some complications as well last year and though she hadn't revealed these fears to anyone, she was terrified.

The thought of the children she would eventually have though and Frith's cheerier outlook would certainly help her in concealing these worries, focus upon the family they would become and try to overlook whatever horrors awaited her in getting to that stage. Take each day one at a time her mother had told her, and that was what she would have to continue doing.

Today she would find herself parted from her mate temporarily. He of course continued with his own duties, he had no actual reason to avoid them after all for Novella's longing to keep him at her side surely wasn't good enough. He would seek her out now though and he would find her, not far from their actual den, the one used to keep their crystal cave a secret.

Frith was naturally a rather confident fellow, in his abilities and others especially so when it came to Novella. He had no doubts about the eventual birth, and was still quite blind to how scared his wife really was. There was little tendency in the chocolate man to worry, but recently there had been more concern than usual. She would seem to rub off on him subconsciously as he never gave so much thought to future events before.
He'd try to shake of the concerned mood and anxious demeanor as his paws carried him to their public den. Everyone knew to find them here, as they still did their best to keep the brilliant cave a secret. Though even the cavern could not boast the beauty Novella did, his smile would light up as he took in her glowing form. It was getting to the point in the pregnancy that he didn't have to take someone's word for it. He could easily tell the change in her physique. "Hello, beautiful." seemed his usual greeting nowadays, chocolate form would move to nuzzle her cheek and place a kiss affectionately.

Novella hadn't really been one to think about the future all that much before. She was of course used to thinking of her family in all she did, though never had she considered that the family might just be one that she had created herself. There were no regrets, she loved Frith after all but these sudden responsibilities were rather daunting and they hadn't even really begun yet, it was just the build up to officially becoming parents.

A smile would easily find its way to her features as she caught sight of Frith approaching her. Worried or not the presence of the man was still a wonderful and exciting thing in her life and she couldn't help the joy she felt each time they reunited no matter how brief the time apart may have been. She would let out a content sigh, feeling slightly better already with him close by and would lean into his nuzzle before reciprocating the affection with a kiss of her own upon his muzzle. "Where have you been, love?" She would question, curious as to how he'd spent his day so far. Her own of course had been rather uneventful aside from worries and she longed for the distractions whatever tales he had could provide her with.

There was little he wouldn't do to see that brilliant smile upon her face, though it seemed just his presence was easy enough today. He never felt close enough to her, he could feel the relaxation she'd experience at his return. He'd enjoy her kiss and gentle affections, and as she asked a question he would come to lay by her side. Pressing his side against her he'd let out his own content sigh as he let his own form relax there with her. "Around. Kicking habits is hard." He'd gone out early for a day of hunting, but obviously at his appearance he'd found nothing to bring back for her. "I feel like the local wildlife is getting to be over hunted." It was a legitimate concern, and he knew that he ought to take it up with Dutiron and Novel. Something would have to be done soon.

He would settle down beside her and Novella would lean against him now, happy for the contact with her mate once more, no matter how simple it was. From his response she would guess swiftly that he was speaking of hunting. He'd certainly worked hard for the pack to prove himself and it was nice to see that the efforts were continuing, though it did seem after their wedding that her father was softening once more anyway.

He would grow serious though however as he continued to speak and addressing the issue of the over hunting. The pack was certainly getting larger, it was the biggest that Novella felt she'd seen it before more land was an idea but probably not the answer, they needed to be close as a pack but were they getting overpopulated? She was aiding to that problem however, through bringing Frith into the pack and now the children growing within her, she knew not how many there were of course but they would eventually be extra mouths to feed. She tried to push the thought aside though, as worried as she was about these children, she certainly never wanted them to be considered a burden for even a second.

She would lean against him as he settled next to her, glad to share in her body heat and feel the side against his own. He'd voice his concerns to her, and her own opinion would not be added. This would cause him to forget about the troubles he was facing then, and let himself focus solely on his wife. Maybe the pack was becoming to big, and maybe they were not helping the problem any, but he knew that everything would get sorted out eventually. He didn't need to worry himself, so he'd just nuzzle Novella comfortingly.
The pups he'd helped create would slowly continue growing, but he was not unhappy they were taking their time. He was excited for them, but he wasn't quite ready to give up his alone time with Novella. They still hardly knew one another, though he was getting better. Every moment he was awake he wanted to spend with her. Still, he couldn't forget the growing family within her womb. "How are you feeling?" he'd nuzzle his nose into her fur affectionately.

Honestly though she could sympathise with those worries the girl simply wasn't sure what to say. There were certainly a fair few questions running round her mind, enough that she felt a little like her nephew, Dutiron, though asking them of Frith certainly wouldn't help at all. He had no more power in this mess than she did really it was her parents that would have to work out what should be done and knowing them they'd already thought about the problems themselves. They were certainly amongst the wisest wolves she knew and had fare more leadership experience than many wolves as well.

The topic would be cast aside in the silence now though, Frith once more nuzzling her and questioning how she was feeling. She still felt physically fine of course, the children hadn't yet grown enough to really effect her actions, aside from her own mental awareness of them forcing her to be more careful. And that right there was perhaps the only issues she had currently, mental ones as she still tried to get to grips with the news of it all. She would lie now though, as she always did when the question was asked. Those around her seemed to have far more confidence in her than she did and she didn't wish to bother them with her doubts, especially not her husband. "I'm fine." She would respond with a soft smile.
