The sky was still dark and forbidding and part of her was still nervous to leave the pack lands again, but it was hard for her to stay still. It was a few days since she had found her way back to the cave where Solstice had been keeping shelter and her shoulder had been patched up and was starting to move more freely again. Now that she had eaten and gotten a decent nights sleep she felt eager to get moving again. She didn't go far, only just outside of the pack borders, but it was enough for her for now.

She padded through the pale forest, her fiery gaze glancing from tree to tree, taking in the strange sight of them. She had been here before so their strange coloration wasn't new to her but she still couldn't quite get used to a forest so devoid of color. Her ear twitched when she heard a movement near by and she stopped in her tracks, looking around to try and find the source of it. Her eyes found a rabbit hopping through the underbrush and she considered going after it but she decided it wasn't worth it. Her shoulder was still pretty sore and it was hard enough to blend into a normal forest with her coloration. Here it would be impossible. Libra turned her head away and started padding forward once again.

New land to explore and learn about! Salamander had grown nice and cozy in his old home up north in the red forest, enough to where he had made a nice little den and even decorated some trees around it. That way if anyone came by they would now the place had been claimed. Then he was off exploring once more! This time however he would pay attention to the direction he was heading in, memorizing the landmarks around him so that he didn't get lost. It would be terrible, finding his old home, settling down then getting lose while exploring. Such a Salamander move.

Today, after some days of traveling, the boy had found himself in a strange area. Purple orbs gazed upon what he had originally thought were trees, but their colors weren't right. Head tilted in confusion, even poked one of the trees with his paw. Were they dead? Or maybe bones? Why else would they be this color? Normal trees were shades of brown, sometimes with green spongy stuff growing on them. No, these couldn't be trees, maybe like a weird animal pretending to be one but doing it completely wrong. Yes, that had to be it.

Pulling away from these odd things, not wanting to be eaten if it was indeed an animal, the boy would go about his business once more. Paws carried the slender framed male, weaving between the white barked trees up until he spotted something moving through them as well. Sal stopped, quickly going behind a tree and crouching down. Was that, a wolf? Carefully he would stretch out his neck, only showing the part half of his head from the eyes up. What the...? Purple eyes went wide in both surprise and concern as he watched the oddly colored thing that imitated a wolf. What the heck was it and why was it here?
